hey folks, next week i'm driving to Michigan, Ann Arbor, wednesday evening. i'll be there through saturday, possibly sunday. are there any toy shops, independent places to check out for toys? No need for target, walmart TRU stuff as i have plenty in chicago. also, if anyone needs something that isn't yet available around here i can hook someone up and bring something with. holler.

@RC13- Target on Ford Rd. has deluxe Battle Blades Bumblebee on the peg now, as well as Generations deluxes, and 1 HA Jazz left amongst 4 Bbees (Sam with new shirt).

They also had the two new GI JOE POC Mechs. Left them.

Starting to get some new SW stuff. Had 4 new battle packs, but that's it.

Ann Arbor/Saline Road finally restocked! Picked up HA Jazz. Battle Blade Bumblebee will have to wait :grin:

They had everything as far as I can tell. even the giant ass $60 BB. Lots of new star wars and GI JOE too. Only 1 HA Jazz and HA Bee. so, no Jazz anymore.

Human Alliance Jazz is awesome! I'm really impressed with this figure. Best Movie figure I've bought!! I love the flip up visor. Look out if they do this in G1 colors. I'll be tearing up the stores trying to find it :-)

Haha, yeah. Movie.
I honestly don't do a lot of collecting outside of the movie line. The diehards'll hate me for it, but it's what I got started in and if I jumped into everything else, I could go broke pretty quick haha. I have other collections/hobbies that require those funds.

Though, I do have a few Universe. So there's that.

I grabbed him too, just waiting to open him. This looks like ten steps above all the other HAs which I would gladly give back-- well not Barricade, but all the others!

i spent all week waiting for the target by my work to reset. but then again all i really need now TF wise is leader starscream and HA mudflap(who even has him)and jazz.

I did see the new JOE figures there tonight. I grabbed the Alley Viper for tfpredaking. They still had all the other ones, plus the dreadnok motorcycle. Grabbed Battle Blade Bumblebee while I was there. He's awesome.

@Marshall Dusty-- there's not really any places in Ann Arbor that are good for hard to find transformers. I don't know if you are looking for anything else. there are some good comic shops in the area. Stadium Cards & Comics is my personal favorite. Our own tfpredking works there :grin:

Vault of Midnight in downtown AA is a really nice store too. They have the more unique collectible action figures and stuff. Not much in the way of TFs though. Can anyone else think of a place in AA with good stuff?

@tfpredaking.. I will give you credit next time. I was too busy with my HA Jazz to think about it :grin:

what does everyone think about the deluxe ironhide? i think its a good figure, but the size is all wrong. deluxe ratchet is just a bit taller than ironhide too.

Sorry man, didn't buy. I cannot get behind many movie toys anymore, although HA Jazz is really good.

I have one....anyone want it(free)...right now it is in a bag with the back of the box and instructions....needless to say, I almost don't think it is worth even storing... :grin:

Vault of Midnight is a very good place to find some out-of-the-ordinary type stuff. There's also Wizzywig in downtown Ann Arbor if you're into the anime and J-pop kinda thing.

Wizzywig used to be the place to buy Japanese G1 re-issues, PVC's, etc. Then the Transformers section became non-existant. Honestly can say I have not been there in years...

They had out the new Dreadnock cycle, the new Skyhawk, the New Hiss and Snowcat, as well as the Mechs.

Figure wise, a case looks like: 1 alley viper, 1 Cobra Commander, 2 Dukes, 2 Snake-Eyes, 2 Beachheads, 2 storm shadows, 1 Snowjob, and 1 Firefly.

The Beachhead, Alley Viper, and Snowjob are amazing! Firefly is pretty sweet as well, I passed on the others.

Wizzywig is gone as far as I know from downtown. I think they still have the warehouse out off of Ellsworth, but google bought their building a few years ago and forced them out their Liberty street location. Haven't seen them since :-(
