And I work in non-profit management, so while the money's okay, I'm definitely not going to get rich off of it... :p

I'm having troubles affording my treasures as well. I've had to practically sell everything except for my Classics, Universe, Henkei which I will not part with. Mainly the only reason I can afford so much is either saving months ahead of time for my wants and also not having to pay rent or mortgages also helps. Crazy thing is I'm still unemployed and I'm still buying transformers though I'm trying my best to not spend as much as I used to because I need to get my own place once again hopefully by Christmas that will happen.

The one thing I do have going for me is my wife likes a few of these plastic gems as well. She has me hunting down the green rotf devestator any chance we get. Odd the bugger isn't around considering surrounding states have him. She laughs when she see's me drool over the gen 1's that are at a local flea market here. They are not mint nor in box but they bring great memories for me.

My job isn't all that great either. I have a degree in drafting and design and five years experience in field. Unfortunately, when I moved up to Ohio no one here felt I was worth hiring as my education and experience dictated. Presently, I work in the tourism industry which pays no where near what I once made in Texas. I do have to admit it is fun though. As backwards as Amish country can be at times it is slower paced which I enjoy.

Amish country for us is located in the middle of Holmes county. Right smack In the middle in fact. As you guys have noticed I get around in my quest for the bots. Partly because finding jack here is slim. Mostly because it's fun for me to drive around when I get the chance. LOL so far I've only not looked to the extreme north or south. Gas is expensive. That and I have yet to find any new place in my neck of the woods are good for looking.

Has anyone seen anything new in the Youngstown/Niles area? I am heading there next week to visit family and was just wondering if anyone had ventured over there yet.

I might be heading there this weekend. If I do, I'll let you know. If I find anything, and it looks like it might sell out I could grab one for you.

I don't know, dude... I ain't tryin to be weird or nothin, but it sounds like you and I are cut from the same mold! LOL My wife is just as enthused about our hunting excursions as I am! Right now she wants WFC Soundwave and HFTD Terradive.
As far as the drafting and design goes, that's what I'm trying to get into school for. I'm talking to a friend of mine who's already in the field whom is advising me on my class choices.
And you don't need to worry about hunting the far north. That's where I am. I can literally pick up a rock and throw it into the lake from my place. And there's nothing worth finding up here. (as much of my previous posts have so elequently described) I see that someone at TFW has found Tomahawk and Terradive already... hey, maybe I'll get lucky! Yeah, right!

Looks like all of us have something in common one way or another. For myself, I too had to sell most of my movie stuff cause im sick of it and trying to stick with Classic/Henkie and Genline and G1 too. Well, i guess i consider myself kinda lucky cause i work at a local hospital maintaining their computers and software apps, but its getting really old fast and considering a career change to a pharmacy tech or Radiation tech or maybe something else, but i just found out that theres a loooong waiting list for Rad techs up to 3 years before anyone gets enrolled, but once you do and you complete the course, your pay is really good.
Well still looking for Terradive, Hailstorm, Blurr and Dirge. As for Dark Mount, i did see him at TRU near me, but not enough to impressed me, so ill wait for his repaint named Skullgrin.

Yeah, Rad techs are the "vogue" thing now... every fresh-outta-school kid is gettin into it, so the field is gonna fill real fast! I'm looking to sell some of my collection, too, I just gotta get it done. LOL I saw Oilpan, Breacher, and Insecticon at Target, today. I like the color on Oilpan, but I left all three there.. I'm after Terradive, Tomahawk, and Soundwave. Nothing new at WM or TRU. Kinda disappointing, really, considering that all their stock is just sitting there doing nothing. And they can be making money on the new waves! I saw a BMW M6 today... I know it's not a Transformer, but still, how often do you see one of those in real life? It's a sexy beast!

Ditto nothing new at the Lima TRU--they only had one GEN figure, but still had at least two MP Grimlocks.

If anyone see's Hailstorm and Terradive give me a shout! and ill be happy to help anyone out with what their looking for..

Hey Guys earlier this morning I stopped by TRU in Miamisburg to see what they had turned out to be nothing, but then went to the dayton mall to look around and guess what I found? A TRU Express, I was stunned when I saw it. Went in and found both Animated Rodimus and Ironhide.

It's down at the Elder Beerman end of the mall.

Rodimus - 2 left
Ironhide - 2 left

Also, I have another Animated Rodimus if anyone wants to buy it, I did get it for someone else but they found one. Again if there is anyone in the Dayton area looking for him still send me a pm. I'll sell him to you for what I paid.

I decided to take him back because I just wanted to get my money back right away so I returned him at the actual TRU near the dayton mall rather than at the TRU Express.

Checked TJ Maxx in Mansfield on the hopes the place would have some good news based off today's leader on the main page. It was a transformer wasteland. Not a bot in sight. Swung by TRU on the way out and it appears the store has nothing new to offer either. Barring a snapstorm tomorrow I'll swing into Akron/Canton.

Stopped by TRU today after work just to see if they had anything new, and the only thing i saw was Rampage in the ruins set and thats it.

Checked the Walmarts in Tiffin, Findlay, and Bowling Green over the past few days, and nothing new to report. I'll check the TRU in Lima on my way home tonight--I'm really hoping for GEN Megatron and Soundwave...

Nice little score at Lima's TRU today--they had one each of Darkmount and GEN Megatron, which I happily grabbed. Both are little plastic slices of heaven, I gotta say.

And, as a tangent, I'm STILL drooling over the pix of MP Rodimus. Gonna be frigging awesome! Now, I have to wonder if they might try to pull off Galvatron...

Hey Doc, good score man!! which i saw DM, Megs, Soundwave and Red Alert about 2 weeks ago, but decided to pass on DM, i wasnt really impressed with him in person as i was with the pics i saw on here of him. So, im just waiting on his repaint of Skullgrin to show up and hopefully its done to G1 liking. Now, im just waiting on Terradive and Hailstorm from HFTD line and Dirge and Blurr from Genline and thats it for me. Back to piecing some G1 combiners i found together for memory sake.

Which G1 combiners are you looking to complete? Part of me really wants the Seacons reissue, but I don't have the money for it. Well man as far as G1 combiners goes and the help from Jenus cause i dont have an ebay account....yet. but i just finished piecing together the Terrorcons to form Abominus, Combaticons to form Bruticus, bought a complete G1 Devastator for crazy devy parts and my two latest additions are Technobots to form Computron and my Seacons just came is as well!! Good times...

and to sum up what i already had was:
I had all the Terrorcons except Cutthroat and some Abominus pieces. The same with the Combaticons minus Swindle and Bruticus pieces and again the same with Technotbots minus lightspeed and Computron pieces. But now evething is in order except for a few missing weapons for nosecone and everything will be 100% complete.

What up, my ninjas? Stopped my WM Supercenter in Elyria and they had 2 each of Legends Hound and Sandstorm. Sandstorm is an awesome G1 representation, but I'm just not into them, so I left those there. They also had 1 Mudslinger/Destructicons there. I watched the Peaugh review for that, so I know that they're only "Okay." Still holding out on those sexy dinobots! Okay, maybe not sexy, but still, can't wait. I'm with you, DR. Rasta.... I really don't think I'd be able to handle it mentally when I get MP Hotrod... in the year 2013. Well, that's all for this blog.... I'll just have to update y'all probably Monday or Tuesday. Side note--just because I'm curious to get more of an idea on my bredren and sisdren here in Ohio, what do all of you do for a living? Besides, collect TF's, that is? And, for that matter, if you had to pick one or two of your crown jewels of your collections, who would it/they be?

Me, I'm the director of the Habitat for Humanity affiliate in Tiffin, but live in Lima. And my collection picks are a tie between my G1 Fort Max and my original Victory Saber.

I... live in Sheffield Lake. I work in Wellington (yes, that's a 45 minute drive to and from work everyday) as a CNC machine operator. I know my profile says "designer" but that's who I am, not what I do for a living. I am in an apartment right now, but I'm looking forward to school and, God-willing, a house. As for my collection... I also happen to have a G1 Fort-Max! My wife calls him Jeffrey cause he's the same size as a kid! LOL I have an un-opened RID Rodimus, but I think I love my Rodimus collection all together. Which includes: RID (one opened, one un-opened), Animated, Hasbro Re-Issue Rodimus Prime, Energon, Titanium, Heroes of Cybertron, I HAD a G1, but it broke and now I need a new one. So, you can imagine how OFF-THE-WALL excited about MP Hotrod I am!!!!!!!

Just found the Rallybots, Destructicons, and Combaticons at our local Wally in Millersburg.

Man, i dont know about you guys, but too me it seems that the HFTD line and the WFC line is not moving!! i went target last night and a TRU over the weekend and the same figures are still there and on the same peg!! Be cause of this, i think thats why we are not seeing new stuff in our area and stores! Plus, i think everyone is burnt out on the movie line crap and everyone is waiting for all the new Genline to come out in force. So far, ive seen only 1 Dark mount, 2 Red Alerts and thats it!! No HailStorm and i was hoping that Terradive would start trickling in, but a big fat no on that. Well, i guess ill give it another 2 more weeks and see where Hasblow has left us, but i really hope Hasblow hasn't left our region behind and i hope that some of the figures that all of us want wont be shorted or low production. Like me, i just want hailstorm, terradive, Blurr and Dirge and thats it, i cant speak for anyone else about this topic. But, if anyone cares to chime in on this, please go ahead...
