I got RID Sky Hammer today but I am let down. The toy is just so static and the automorph goes off all the time. I dont find him fun, and I am a big child at heart.
The only cool thing is that one of the two is a dead on homage to Jetfire.

Did a little driving around looking for Movie figures and finally spotted everything that's out between a Walmart and Target. Really just wanted to see the figures, especially Voyager Prime which I definitely intend to get as a future repaint. What I did want was the Tiny Turbo Changers which I found at Target. They didn't have many, but I was able to get a Starscream and a black and purple Grimlock which were two of the ones I wanted most (next to Prime and Blackout). These little guys are so much fun and look fantastic! If Hasbro wants to replace Titan Masters with something like these in Power of the Primes I would be very welcome to that. Great figures for only $3.
Almost bought Legion Grimlock, but for $7 I'll wait a little longer, I doubt he'll be going anywhere any time soon.

The main reason not to buy is it's just a repaint of a Prime Beast Hunters "monster" cyberverse combiner. It would be much more worth your money to get the TLK repaint of that set. Especially with a brand new torso bot.

Big day today for me. Took my Fundamentals of Engineering exam. I'll hear back in a few weeks if I passed and thus become an EIT (Engineer in Training). I stopped at a TRU and 2 walmarts on the way home. TRU was helpless, both Walmarts were stocked with Broadsides and shelf-warming Hot Rods and Breakaways, all the Barricades were gone, and then I got these 4 gems using the little help guide to differentiate between Sideswipe, Soundwave, and Lockdown:

That mold, while one of my top 3 Megatron molds, makes me sad. I think simply with a new head, he could have easily been repurposed as a pretty awesome Galvatron. Missed oppoertunity

Congrats man. I took mine about 20 years ago. No clue if I even passed it because in my state and college at the time, the requirement was you only had to take the test in order to graduate. Of course you had to pas the test if you ever wanted to become a PE (Professional Engineer). But that doesn't help me at all in my job, so I never followed it up.

Rightm, since I replied, may as well reveal something I got myself for my upcoming Birthday (May 12th):

Before you ask, the head section is troublesome. The pylons do stay down on mine, but the gray trigger on his belly is really sensitive, and releases them during transformation. Did I mention the connector is tight? Blunderbuss had a loose neck at first, upon unscrewing it I noticed a tiny stress mark at the base of the ball socket. Don't know what caused it. After screwing everything back to proper tightness (like not forcing it to turn), it's as tight as it should be, so yay. Hopefully the face plate will reinforce the ball-and-socket joint and prevent it from cracking.
That's the only real problem I have with him, he is pretty... unusual in concept. An aircraft and an aircraft carrier in one?
Blunderbuss giving him the ability to mass shift is smart on Hasbro's part.

As far as I'm concerned that's Optimus Prime in my pic. Just cos he isn't wearing a 'name tag' means nothing to me.
He's a horribly blocky figure though. Even far more so than the original G1 toy and Powermaster but he has better articulation I guess....sureshot, indeed. what nonsense.

It was on clearance at TrU for 48$CAN plus taxes. There was a similar sale at Walmart Online, but being there and having the box in hand... DAMN IRRESISTIBLE IMPULSION!
Now, should I keep is sealed? For maybe an increased value and to save space. I also have the originals already open after all.
Or should I open the box and put them with my old ones to make a nice Sweep display at the feet of my Unicrons?

If the labeled price is smaller that the one that is rung at the register, you get the lower price minus 10$ of punitive damages. If the article was less than 10$, the article is free. In case you buy multiple, the punitive damage only apply on the first item, but the others get to be at the labelled lower price.

The main reason not to buy is it's just a repaint of a Prime Beast Hunters "monster" cyberverse combiner. It would be much more worth your money to get the TLK repaint of that set. Especially with a brand new torso bot.
Actually, that's the main reason why I want him, "gotta catch 'em all!" I'm only missing something like four or five uses of the Abominus molds, not counting the TLK stuff. Heck, this'll be my third Grimlock in that mold. And of course I'll be getting that new TLK box set as well.
Anyway, a couple things to pad out the shipping from Mandarake:
Q Transformers G1 style Optimus Prime - 500 JPY ($4.50)
Transformers Go! Kenzan gold armor - 300 JPY ($2.70)
Optimus is for the Prime shelf. He's OK, but not nearly as good as the three that came in the box from my previous Mandarake haul. He's my first single release, but it made me laugh that such a very Japanese toy line would have backer card full of phrases and sound effects including "Autobots transform and roll out!" Have they ever actually used that exact phrase in Japan?
The gold armor will got to a black Kenzan if I ever get around to buying one.
