Supposedly that figure is stuck with Amazon since it was originally their exclusive. They could probably modify it like they did for Target's Buzzworthy release, but they're probably willing to wait for the rights to expire than change the mold again.

This mold seems to always be an exclusive in some way regardless of who its released as.
Barricade, Bluestreak, Silverstreak, Both Prowls. Only Smokescreen was a wide release if I'm not mistaken.

Smokescreen was a Select, making it not that widespread.
Speaking of which, I miss these random repaints in brown boxes.

That was over the last... 4 years? 5?
I'm losing count in my old age.
But one thing is sure, the releases are way less frequent than when they first began.

Antagony, Guardian Robot, and Magnificus were in Legacy Evolution.
And the rest were all Legacy Year 1.
So, this is the last three years of Selects.
Oh, wait! I forgot about Lift-Ticket. He was also during Legacy Year 1.

The chart have already been pulled some 6 posts back. It resulted in around 2 Legacy Selects releases a year, which are way less than in the Siege/Earthrise days.
Still, if we break down the box-sets into individual releases, it would have been around the same amount. And if we cheat and count the BWBB sets as "Selects", that would be even more.
I'm all for box sets because you "save" some money over the overall price and you're sure to get all the figures in one go, but I love the option to buy the ONE figure I really want and skip on the rest, without having to jump through the reselling hoops.

It's cheating, but the increase in Target and Walmart exclusives did have an affect on the Selects line. For example the Walmart exclusive Legacy Beasts Sandstorm, Buzzsaw and Nightprowler were originally going to be Selects releases before Walmart got them. I'm sure there's a bunch of times where Walmart had something planned for Selects and just used it to pad an exclusive series (like Velocitron Road Hauler probably was).

[quote="-Kanrabat-"][quote="Emerje"][quote="-Kanrabat-"]The chart have already been pulled some 6 posts back. It resulted in around 2 Legacy Selects releases a year, which are way less than in the Siege/Earthrise days.
Still, if we break down the box-sets into individual releases, it would have been around the same amount. And if we cheat and count the BWBB sets as "Selects", that would be even more.

Emerje
Oh yeah those too. But they are exclusives and depending of your area, could be a real pain to find.

[quote="Caelus"]My wife pointed out something interesting about the prehistoric Predacons. I said that everyone was complaining because transforming for them mostly consisted of them just standing up-right. She essentially said, 'So? That's what our ancestors did.'

[quote="Sabrblade"]The Legacy Beasts? Those things shelf-warmed for a year and a half. Walmart couldn't get rid of them.
Not just those. The Velocitron line and the unreleased G2 lines count too.
And as usual, what shelfwarm in a store, another store never got them. It's always relative.

I'm not sure if anyone else was aware, but it looks like Hasbro Pulse just put ER Sunstreaker and Thrust up for pre-order along with Gigawatt. (I'm too lazy to find the Gigawatt thread, so I included him here.)

The Thrust felt out of left field, I never saw any rumors for that one where as forSunstreaker I had. I was seriously considering selling of Thrust thinking they'd be redoing it based on the new SS86 mold but now it's probably not worth it with this reissue available.

What a surprise! too bad its a Target Exclusive / Pulse.
Why can't any of these ever be Amazon releases?
I want all 3, and I just can't get them.

Check out your favorite independent online store. Like for the Canadian Age 3 & Up, they may be available over there.
