Well I hit 300 figures with a purchase of Movie Arcee. It was cool that I reached a number that I thought I would never achieve in my collection.

When I started collecting last year I thought "Well I'll just get the classics line then it will be over". Yeah right, now I go to the store 3 to 4 times a week looking though the toy aisle.

I thought I was bad, But after seeing a post here from a new poster and I saw his collection, I didn't feel bad anymore. As a matter of fact it changed my view on the hobby. I think I'll keep collecting but at a lesser pace. So that I can live my life again.

This is not a bash on anyone, if you enjoy the way you collect go for it I'm not going to judge. But as for me it's time I realized the important things in life. That and I don't want my family to have to throw out 5,000+ Transformers after I die.

Well hope to post here again in a year to report my collection growing to about 350, sounds like a good number. I hope no one takes this wrong, but it was something I had to get off my chest. I've been a fan for 25 years now and I don't see myself ever stopping. But the movie has burned me out, all the "which one should I buy" and Bumblebee threads have left a bad taste in my mouth.

Hope I can start posting a little more regularly after all the movie stuff dies down. But until then I'll probably stop by for news and read a couple of post here or there. This is a great site after all.

I think I grazed 300 sometime back in 2006. Since then I've decided to adopt a quality over quantity approach to my collecting in an effort to save my money, my social life, my relationship and my sanity. I've got to say it feels a hell of a lot better having a hundred or so truly phenomenal and/or much loved figures/characters on display rather than having them obscured by 200 or so less impressive and/or personally gratifying background characters.

Congratulations on hitting 300, but I have to say in my case less is defiantly more. Plus cutting down my TF collection has made way for the very best other lines have to offer such as Revoltech and Chogokin.

I'm nowhere near 300 or 100 even. Despite the scarcity of TFs in my area, I've decided long ago that I'll only get the figures that I like. This way I can enjoy my collection better.

When I hit 300, I panicked and decided to sell a good number of figures. Now I'm down to about 180 (including Gobots, SOC, Yamato, Brave, etc.) and I'm much happier. I even feel like selling more. The smaller and more focussed the better imo.

I've got only 130 so far... but I'm just Gathering
Masterpieces, Alternators, G1s and Classics...
Then some misc stuff... like Energon Unicron and some Real
Gears and revoltech.

Just how many toys are there? Excluding tiny smokestack lenght
variations in a same toy, but including remolds into
different character?

Also... How many Inhabitants of Cybertron does the canon name
so far?
Excluding characters that are the same in another timeline! =)

ok passed 300 earlier this year/later last year with alternator prime, today i hit 369 with no signs of slowing down yet...
