A tad embarassing...
Ok, I had just gone to the checkout line in walmart to buy stockade, when i see someone I know from school. which is just embarassing, with his mom. Luckily, my little cousin was there, and I was buying him a Thomas train for his birthday, so I covered it up because it was his birthday, probably to no avail. Graggherghenburgers, I hate the fact that EVERYONE shops there.

Probably the time Starscream snuck behind me and gave me a wedgie while I wasn’t looking.
Just kidding, I really have never been embarrassed of my hobby, if someone has a problem with my hobby its they’re problem and not mine.

It's about time one of these threads popped up again.
Never. I don't get embarrassed in the pursuit of something I enjoy. Other people are just jealous that you love toys and they are crushed by the weight of existance.

Re: A tad embarassing...
when i was 18-22 I can say I was embarrassed at time. I was single then it was just switching from armada to Energon and I was scouring the stores for nemesis prime and the new Energon to hit the shelf.
I had just got off a graveyard shift and went to the 24 hour walwart accros the street. I walked in I grabbed some hair gel and as i walked to the toy aisle i saw the Energon display. My jaw dropped. So i walked up to the counter and put my gel on the conveyor followed by the complete first run of energon. there was only 1 isle open and it was manned by a younger good looking woman. Needless to say there wasn't much explaining that off and my face was prolly slightly red.
Now I'm married. My wife buys all my TFs now, or i Preorder them from BBTS. I just don't have the time to hunt anymore. But the few I have bought since I don't feel emarrassed anymore and its probably because its EZ to look at it and then me and think im buying it for my kid

The time I left an SCF Thundercracker I'd just won from eBay on my car dashboard. I forgot about him, came back the next day and he had melted into a slushy, gooey looking pile of Thunderslugde. Was my face ever red.

My gf's cool with my TF collecting (heck, she evens joins in) so I don't really care what anyone else thinks. Except maybe my dad; I do still hide my toys when he visits...

I'm not embarassed by my hobby one bit.
However, I was once at TRU with my 5-year-old and the clerk turned to my son and said "Boy, you sure are lucky. Are all these Transformers for you?" He promptly relpied, "No. They're for my Dad."

the dude was with his mom? you should have made fun of him for that. tell him to get his mom's nipple out of his mouth and get a job.
after a harsh tongue lashing, he won't have much to say about you or your transformers.

Pfft, why do you even care?
It is your hobby, your enjoyment, and if people don't like it it is their problem, not yours.

One of the local Wal-Mart employees knows me. When the movie came out, she was buying it for her grandsons. She saw that I liked TF so she asked me about the movie line if it was appropriate for her grandsons (ages 5, 10 and 12). We got into a huge discussion about TF and the movie. She asked when she should buy TFs for her grandsons, I told her that she should buy them as soon as she can because December will be insane in terms of trying to find them. She took my advice. She said that I am probably the informed customer that she ever met. In all, I have not had an embarrassing moment dealing with my collecting TFs.

Re: A tad embarassing...
Being 21 I do feel some embarrassment when buying TFs in like wal mart, but oddly enough not in Toys R Us :p. When I do buy them at the local wal mart I usually carry them discretely and nonchalantly to cash register....in the garden center, or the 10 items or less check out.
I know I'm gonna have to go to the real register next time I go TF shopping cuz I'm gonna have too many for the 10 items or less line. I'll have to take a shopping cart instead of carrying them by hand, I'll probably throw in a few fresh steaks, some Heinz 51 and some Mike's Hard Lemonade to balance out the load a little.

TFs for trade, let me know if you have any of the ones I want or if you're interested in the ones I have.
