Cascadia wrote:It is quite alright...no worries. As for the red vs. white BT Meister...on some websites, the white is higher priced than the red and the same goes for the red being the higher one.

In terms of my collection, it is healthy but it is no where near the size some of yours.

but how many of those sites actually have them in stock? Some sites won't update there price until they get new stock of that item in. So if they last sold a white meister 1year ago for $80 it would still show as such, but if they sold a red meister 2months ago for $100 that would be the price shown.

a recent ebay auction saw a white meister go for aprox. $180...unfortunately i think this is much more accurate of a price.

as for the BT black convoy...I have seen alot of people asking 450-500 for him, but i dont see alot of people actually paying that. Either way, glad i got mine early. I didn't get as good of deal as stormrider, but i still paid about 1/4 of that.

I almost got a Swerve for $110 then someone had to beat at the last second on ebay and paid $110.25. I paid $120 for my BT white Meister a month ago.

The ever so evasive Swerve. Too bad you got sniped there. I hate when that happens.

I scored Swerve last week, but when he arrived there was no decal. He was supposed to be 100% complete, but obviously not ...

I got him for a good price though, so I'm not going to complain. Also, is in phenomenal shape for being loose.

There's no way he's going back, but it still really chaps my ass that there's no decal ... not that I would put it on anyway.

Continuing with ALTS/BT flaws discussion. My BT Blue Prowl has loose ankles ... does not like to be posed. I'm going to apply some clear nail polish on his balls when I get home.

Confession time for me...

I have all the Alts and some BTs to round out the characters...and I couldn't care less about them. :?

It's like, the one line I have, just to have. It's strange hearing how much you all are willing to pay for them when my attitude is so aweful about them.

Don't get me wrong, I've got no intention of selling them. I like the 'having them' part, but am entirely 'meh' otherwise.

I found everysingle one (except Camshaft b/c I was in the process of moving) at retail.

Why the love people? They're detailed to an extent, and they're articulated to an extent, but the fragile nature kind of superceeds any enjoyment for fear of breaking them.

There's no back story. They're mostly repaints (which everyone seems to hate...). Why the love?

I think the love comes from the detail and the articulation and the well-executed alt.modes. I can tell you I got rid of mine because they all started to look samey and dull.

I'm car lover. You'll never see me driving a hyundai. Not that there's anything wrong with that. The tiburon woudn't be a bad mold though.

Anyway, my daily driver is BT Grimlock. It guzzles gas, but it's worth all of the V8 rumble and "potential" speed. Many times pulled over has humbled me as a driver, though.

With all of that said. I was hesitant to buy skids, because I think that particular Scion is really stupid to me.

In this case my love for TF's trumps my love for cars. That little guy is quite articulate.

As far as the many repaints ... I'll agree. They went a little too far with that. I hated the Viper mold until I got Sideswipe. He's really cool.

Sunstreaker, meh. Either version of him seems to have too many problems with lining everything up. It can be attained, but the slightest bump send him out of whack again.

Dead end. BT version. The 2 that I've held in my hands were perfect.

Some Ford GT's don't line up @ the engine cover. I thank repaints for this very reason. I now have 2 that sit flush.

Most of all, people who don't know any better ... wouldn't know that they are transformers. They look like perfect model vehicles. The interiors, doors, trunks ... engines. It's crazy.

Like I said, I'm a car lover ... AND a TF lover. I think that's the main reason why I dig the line.

It must've been something to walk into a store to get these figs. I really missed out. My collecting started with the movie line, unfortunately. Not that I think it's a bad line ... I just really missed out on some cool stuff.

Why don't you hop in that time machine of yours, go back and slap some sense into me? :)

Really ... what he means to say, is that he wants them all to stand in a circle with their pants down. Those parties have a different kind of "slapping."

:o   :o (I'm seriously kidding)

I love the line and would highly recommend Jazz (Meister), fantastic mold.

Wow, cool back history. Good read.

The only thing ...

Aren't TF's made from some kind of fictional metal that is harder/stronger/tougher than anything found on earth?

So, the autobots win yet again ... despite a huge disadvantage.

Seriously though, the cheap low carbon steel that GM uses ... in a fight, the average Decepticon would have a HUGE advantage over any BT autobot. It would be like punching a baby. Some of the injured ones had more powerful bodies anyway, from that whole alliance deal.

I dunno. From what I get out of it ... there were mostly autobots that needed this treatment. Which implies that there are more Decepticons in their natural state. Pile that onto the more powerful Decepticon BT's.

Hmmm ... maybe i'm missing a few things, but there are quite a few holes there.

This is just a guess, but Ford probably used better quality metal to make a hardened combat chassis than they do to make a Mondeo.

in that case ... it would be like punching a 61 yr old woman. I think you're onto something though, :-?

If that's a binaltech and and not an Alt., then go for it. It's a decent price

aye thanks (and Gutter Bunny and Counterpunch too). but i sent a msg to this guy waiting for confirmation on the alleged screws under the roof thing, and whether the paint's damaged or what - since this IS a BinalTech (well known for chipping paint) and it comes loose w/ box.

but if all's well and the joints are tight then mebbe i'll have me a silver Mustang in me TF collection. arr! 8)

I like Silverstreak. The figure looks very similar to G1 except that he is a Subaru WRX instead of a Datsun Fairlady. I have both the Alt & BT version of him. The BT version one is the custom made one of him, which has twin-mounted non-firing missiles. I paid $50 for him. The Alt. version has some reprolabels on him.

Anyways, have fun with your BT Grimlock.
