Yup, some alternators for ya. All are in Substandart quality though (quality C6 to C8..) But if you're not a MISB collector, here's your chance. They're selling out quite fast so GO!

Yeah, that's why I said nothing about him. Still cheaper than Ebay, but still too much...

Yeah he's a rare fella. A rare repaint of tracks. I personally will NEVER buy him. Way too expansive for what he's really worth. But completists are all over him.

I wondered about swerve also... I'd like to know the history as to why he is so expensive.

I actually got a swerve (my first alternator) along with nemisis prime, and mirage during a trade so I never really bought him.

The only thing I know about Swerve, is that he's one of the last Alternator. He came in pretty late. And I can't confirm this, but was he ever released in stores? If not, that's why he's so expansive. Or the quantities were just ridiculous.

I suspect they're buying up ebay stock.

As for Swerve, Hasbro turned a "pass" repaint into the highest aftermarket priced figure of the line by really limiting his release. A trick they've managed to pull off successfully twice in the line, Camshaft being the other. I guess Decepticharge fits in there too.

It's funny, cause honestly, everything about the figure turned out to be great. The molds among the best, the head is a new sculpt that's incredibly accurate to the G1 figure and it came with the Flame decal for the hood that was MIA for Tracks.

Truthfully, there's only two real issues with the figure. The first being that the Corvette name on the bumper is misset on a number of the figures so that the "Corv" isn't level with the "ette". The other, somewhat debatable issue is that the original Swerve was a repaint of Gears.

Personally, I think the name Swerve fits a Corvette mold better than a pickup.

Updated to fit above postings: Swerve was released before Decepticharge but he's numbered after D-charge. He came in a case with Two Grimlocks and a Swindle... I think.

That's right, I forgot to mention about the flame sticker. One thing though, if Camshaft is so damn rare, why is he so cheap price wise compared to the other rare figures? I was quite lucky to find one at my local TRU, but he's always sold out on the net.

And thanks for the infos Cyber Tooth.

Swerve also had a remolded head, not just a repaint.

Camshaft was also a rarer one.

$185 for the BT Clear Mirage. I love's mine so much!!! Thankfully I only had to pay $80.

Camshaft is rare here in the States, but Canada must've gotten our share of them. Since our Neighbors of the North keep ebay stocked well enough the price doesn't get as far outta hand. Kinda like how the Asian suppliers keep N. Primes and Hot Rods available.

As for Decepticharge, I don't know... I like mine, but I think many people were turned off by the racing scheme, the name and the lacking gun barrel. That and the figure doesn't really pose well.

Hahaha I was lucky enough to pick up the following 5 Alternators this afternoon when I spotted them popped up in BBTS:

1 x Sideswipe (sold out now)
1 x Hound (sold out now)
1 x Silverstreak (sold out now)
1 x Dead End (sold out now)
1 x Camshaft (sold out now)

Added the following 2 Alternators into cart but wasn't able to get them fast enough, another shopping checked out before me:

1 x Wheeljack (sold out now)
1 x Shockblast (sold out now)

Please read my other post "New to BBTS, what a shopping experience!" http://www.seibertron.com/forums/viewto ... 17654&sid=

Yeah a few Alternators are still available at decent prices as Fury mentioned, check them out if you need those.

Cheers!

I knew I missed something there... Silverstreak, Wheeljack, dead end... I'll cry later. But congrats for your haul there coolpop.

And don't take this personal, but I'm glad that Wheeljack slipped right out of your evil hands! It shall teach you to be faster than me!

Hahaha Thanks bro! I'm just happy I was able to get 5 out of 8 Alternators I wanted to purchase (I also saw Decepticharge available but didn't even have chance to add it to my cart.

I should cry louder on Wheeljack/Shockblast, they were available at the time and I even added them to my shopping cart. Sigh...

Anyway, I think I will smile in my dreams tonight. *Wink*

Cheers!

The only Alts I have are Rumble and Jaguar Ravage, though Swindle has
caught my eye...is he worth BBTS's asking price? ($39.99)

Its still a pretty damn good haul you got there. And yeah decepticharge is not an Alternator I want. Just like windcharger. They have a ''gun'', but no barrel. Unlike their Binaltech big brothers... So I would avoid buying the Alt version of those 2 really. Get the Binaltech instead. The gun is the best in the Alternator line.

In my opinion, not really... I have Rollbar (repaint), and althought the mold is great, its not worth $40. Try shopping a little more before buying it at $40.

I agree, that's why I left Windcharger & Swindle alone. Last week I purchased BT-12 Overdrive $49 shipped, and now contemplating on a purchase of BT-09 Swindle $48 shipped deal (edit: I just purchased it from an eBay store as I'm drafting this post, next best BIN deal is $51, still pretty good).

So to reinforce Fury's response to SS227's question on Swindle, you can actually spend about the same money and get the die-cast Binaltech version of Swindle.

(EDIT 10:40pm PST: Amazon.com has Alt. Swindle for $34.50 shipped & Alt. Dead End for $44 shipped (same vendor, maybe with combined shipping discount)

Cheers!

Well well, Swerve is now sold out. $140... Yup.

Completists, where the industry would be without you guys. Masterpiece Transformers are cheaper than this guy... I mean come on. You can have him for $35+shipping on other sites...

Thanks for the responses guys! Alt. or BT really makes no
difference to me, not real big on die-cast. Since most people
say the BTs are higher vquality though, I'd go with that,
were it the cheaper of the two. Otherwise, I'd go Alt., I
find the packageing more appealing.

Hasbro? Alternators 2.0? It would be awesome. But they might have learned something from the movie line frenzy. Maybe (only dreaming here...), maybe they'll make some more Alts for TFs 2. Why the alternators had a hard time before? Timing! Imagine Alts, being released at the same time as the movie line? Or shortly after.. $$$$$$$$$

Who knows...
