Annoying aspect in trailers
Is it bothering anyone else that in a lot of the trailers, they make it seem that Optimus Prime/Peter Cullen's voice is Bumblebee's? I mean for fans it's pretty obvious that it isn't, but I know when my family saw the movie after the trailers they were like "I thought Bumblebee said that...". The example I'm think of specifically is "It's you and me.", among others.

In the first cinematic trailer, I had NO IDEA that those things were Transformers, nor was it a TRansformers movie. I just thought it was another War of the Worlds-esque science fiction film about invading monsters (I didn't even take the hint with the annoying flashing wind sounds and there were the Autobots in their vehicle modes.
Only when the Transformers sign came up did I realize. And I wasn't happy or excited either, at the time I was thinking, 'THOSE are Transformers? Man how much have they changed?'
The second trailer was much better and got me real pumped.

It may be a little thing, but it really annoyed me that in the trailer, during the last part of Optimus Prime's transformation, they played the traditional Transformer conversion sound. and in the movie, you didn't get that. I remember giving a silent cheer watching the trailer and that bit came up, but was mega disappointed it didn't.

the only part in the trailers that "tricked" me is when that bald army guy says BRING IT!! and you see optimus getting speared
it's amazing how some trailers are so misleading

Yeah, you do. Twice at least: Once with Blackout, once with the Nokia-bot.

And the van getting ripped in two, then bursting into flames like it was made of gasoline, quarter-sticks of dynamite, and a city-flattening fertilizer bomb.
Were there other action scenes than those three in the movie?
...can't recall offhand...

One thing I noticed about the trailers, were that there were parts in them, that weren't in the movie. Two examples I can think of are:
When William goes "That killer robot is really distracting". Not in the film
and also, i saw a spot, or a trailer, or something, when Sam is talking to the sector 7 guy, and says that his car transformed into a stolen cart, and it was just a misunderstanding. That part didnt happen either. Can anyone else think of any scenes where this happened?

What i found quite funny about the trailers and the end result was the fact that the Trailers practicilly showed the whole movie, well the best bits... LOL
I was expecting to see a whole bunch of new content. But i was upset and the fact the trailers show far too much
All said, i liked the movie... yes it has its problems, but which big movie doesnt? Especially adaptions.
Xmen, Spiderman, DareDevil, etc etc etc... all have MANY problems... but in my opinion are still enjoyable.

I watched the movie 6 times trying to hear that sentence. Trying to see who said it and at what part of the movie it came out. I thought i'm the only who can't find it.

Hmm... I'm almost positive the latter is in the movie. It's when the sector seven guy reminds sam that he said his car transformed and he says that he said his car was stolen.

He sounds like the secretary of defence to me. Probably a deleted scene, or one of those lines especially recorded for a trailer to make a character summarise an important plot point, without the need of a narrator voice. Some other big movie trailers had great lines that really defined the film's theme, but were left out of the movie.

Speaking of scenes in the trailers absent from the movie. I once saw a trailer that seemed to show a scene where Lennox(sp?) was with the Hispanic solider right before he died. I only know that he died because it was in the novel, and I was pretty surprised when the scene was cut from the film.

I know. I was referring specifically to Prime transforming with the sound capping it at the end, like in the trailer. I hope they have it more in the second movie.

I noticed that they cut that out as well. Guess you don't know if he dies or not in the movie. Oh well, less of Fergie's boyfriend is fine with me.

I noticed that line missing the first time I saw the movie - and purposly watched for it the second time - i'm sure its not in there - although some people over at TF 2005 swear it is.

Another scene I think is missing is where Starcream does a strafing run against an F22. He fights with the F22's hand to hand and in jet mode, but I'm pretty sure this specific shot of him firing whist in robot mode is missing.

Oh actually this happens all the time. I collect movie trailers; one of my little interests.
It's very common for them to cut it in a way that is often very different from the movie. Easiest example is the "Must be Japanese" comment. In the trailer it was Prime wasn't it? In the movie it really wasn't. Also with the soldier shouting "Bring it!" right before Bonecrusher dived for Prime in the trailer.
They sometimes also add lines that introduce the viewer to what the movie is about in trailers. Such as the "We are facing war against a technological civilization far superior to our own." That plus the edits tell trailer watchers what's gonna happen in the movie.

I think that had more to do with the editing of the trailer, not that he was supposed to say that in front of Prime.

Ordinary folks who's not familiar with Transformers, and who did not have the opportunity to see the trailer... could have missed out on these important tid bits.
They should have included them in the final cut.
