Awesome High Rez Images of Robot Replicas Frenzy!!.. Would you buy him??

Postby skywarp-2 » Mon Sep 24, 2007 7:15 am

Here is a link to some high Rez images of the very movie accurate Robot Replicas Frenzy.

http://tformers.com/transformers_databa ... eluxe.html

The Paint Applications on this particular figure unlike the Bumblebee Robot Replicas version, is very movie accurate complete with silver and gold tones, has Hasbro heard our cries? Only future realistic toys will show if that's the case. Either way, This figure is a must get for my collection. To Date I haven't purchased a single Robot Replica Figure, but that's not from a lack of trying, they seem to be always sold out!!! Is the toyline "Robot Replicas" that nice? If I do spot this frenzy figure I will buy him, an he would be the first Robot Replicas figure that I would own. Do we know that the joints are tight, or are there other issues rather then the aesthetics and paint applications that fans should be aware of?

I don't remember him having any gold on him in the film? I actually quite liked Frenzy in the movie, if the rest of the movie wasn't so disappointingly bad I'd have considered picking this up.

I had hopes for the robot replicas. I am going to try and sell my megatron and barricade now. I saw jazz and prime at the stores the other day. Jazz looks ridiculous, primes head looks a little weird.

Frenzy does look better, but he needs to be silver. I have to much to repaint so im not going to bother haha.

I saw him at target yesterday. I think he's the coolest of all replicas so far. I didn't buy him though ... I wanted to, but that would've automatically meant that I had to buy every other replica available. Damn my completist personality!!!

are these pictures of a prototype? if so, then maybe the paint application may vary from the manufactured product.... the pics of the previous robo reps made them look good, until you actually saw them in real life. imo the same applies for robo reps frenzy, he looks cool in the pictures, but im doubting. but if these pics are the real deal that tformers.com took of a factory made toy. then he's by far the best robo reps ive seen. btw, is this in scale with the deluxes?

Saw this in the store yesterday.

It looked like garbage. Save your money for some delicous Chinese take-out.

(At least you can flush that away when you're done with it)

Wow strong words against the Robot replicas line... I will admit the Revoltech's are way better, but millions of kids must love them, atleast around here, because they are always sold out!! Must be a craggy old school collector hater's thing...????????? :???:

I like Funk Master Flex better then calling you a douche... I just don't think you walk around all day smelling like you bathed in Massengil...I just don't believe it!!

Also on the poopy Transformers Merchadise front....FABs and Legends suckass.. just cause they transform, doesn't give them an edge over the RR...actually... I would only buy Frenzy out of all the RR's or maybe Prime, the rest look like crapola in color packaging...

The reason I say buy that Robot Replicas Frenzy??? Cause the Transformable Deluxe one sucks!!! it looks like a stereo got electrocuted and shoots disc babies from its midsection!! Ugly ass toy!!!

Atleast this version looks like the movie design more then that piece of crap!!! The point of this argument....errr........ discussion, Transformation over accuracy isn't always a plus... ;;)

Here is the CGI frenzy from the Movie.. and yes he had some gold on him...
Image

Here is the crap released so far for this guy:

Barricade's Bitch:
Image

The Craptastic Transformable Pregnant Deluxe Version:
Image
Yay!! it transforms from a stereo into a phone with a pregnant Belly!!!
Image

Tssk Tssk...If Hasbro had only left out the stupid disc firing gimmick, and made the radio Look very accurate to the Movie in terms of the robot toy, with lots of articulation, he would be one of my favorite deluxes.. but this crap above is just the reason why I must settle for a non transforming version like the Robot Replicas version...Screw the Gimmicks when they interfere with the main toy gimmick, Transformation and accuracy!!!!

Here is why I say get the RR version..
Image

Now you tell me which looks more accurate to the movie.. and if you say neither, then that's fine, but since that's all she wrote for the movie toys, and Animated is coming, I'll get the RR version of Frenzy. The Other Transformers released in Deluxes, Voyagers, and Leader Class are all well represented, except maybe StarScream and his Jumbo underwing Ape arms.. but atleast with RR Frenzy I can get one figure that looks like he did in the movie!! When I get to display my collection some day...I'll just have to pose him far away from the rest, so in forced Perspective Frenzy looks very tiny..

This is what I like.

Seriously.

Transformers that don't turn into anything are just not of any value to me.

How can Robot Replicas Frenzy be More Than Meets the Eye when there isn't any more to meet my eye(s)?

If I wanted statues I'd get some of the girlie anime ones. You know what I'm talking about. Big eyes, come hither stares, unnecessary nylons with dresses that are too short.

I...have to go to the import store.

I doubt they'll ever release an entirely movie-accurate one. First of all, those are far too many far too flimsy parts to cost out and stay in one piece all the way from the factory to the consumer. And if they somehow managed to pull that off.. It would be a freakin' safety hazard.

Yeah, but I'm kinda pissed that the only realistically accurate offering we have ever recieved of Frenzy from the movie to date is the Robot Replicas version.. it's not that I don't want transformation, but I'll have to sacrifice it for this guy... granted I would like a transformable one, but the version released thus far by Hasbro really sucks!!
