I just got my shipping notice for Henkai Starscream, meaning apparently, BBTS has Henkai figures and is ready to start shipping them out to all of us who preordered.

BBTS Takara Classics pricing is pretty bloated.

If you are from north of the border like me, a better alternative is Ages 3 and up.

They have all the Takara Classics minus Megs and Astrotrain (soldout) for $10 less than BBTS

I think that is why he says they are over-priced. From what you're saying, Prof. Smooth, are they more expensive in Japan TRUs than the US versions were in USA TRUs?

Almost all TFs are about double the cost of the US versions. Movie deluxes are 2,000 yen, for example.

I believe that MSRP on the Japanese versions are around 2,500 yen for the deluxes and 4,000 yen for the leaders.

I think part of the price goes to cover the cost to import these.

The retail prices for the henkei deluxes are 2100 yen, so that would be 21.00 USD. Not really all that unreasonable if you ask me, even though it is a bit pricey. Also, for voyagers, they are 3150 yen, meaning 31.50. Again, a little pricey by most of our standards, but its not like they're making massive profit by charging us double the retail or something. At least not yet

I hope I didn't confuse anyone by that. Those prices are the retail prices in Japan. So if you're paying a few bucks more, that's just the company making their profit and covering import costs. If you're paying more than double, then yeah, you might be overpaying

I live in Japan. If those prices are the MSRP, I paid more than retail.
