Better pics up of the Animated Toys
All I can say is that Bumblebee's cool, and with a new head, Starscream would be awesome. Most of the rest need to go.

I can't imagine that being an intentional. So when compared to the release date of the cartoon series, it would seem that the toy line is behind production wise.
Who said they are releasing the series in January.
Cartoon Network will have a special 90 minute movie type episode which will air in early 2008 (take it that could mean January), but the cartoon won't start playing until Spring or Early Summer, if I remember correctly.
They have already recorded the first season, so it's safe to assume ( at least in my book) that they would have full colour test shots of all of the First season. What they have shown us so far isn't always everything that they have to show us. I still think we'll see them before Christmas, it's just too good for them to pass up from a business standpoint.

Again, I'm going off what I heard on that pod cast. The Hasbro representative specifically said the "show event" (I guess he might be talking about the pilot) will be airing at the end of December. And then he goes on to say that the series will begin airing weekly starting January 1st.

Continue to have issues with this line. I will more than likely not be getting any of them.

Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!

Simple toys, for simple animation, still sucks and is still crap.
Transformers toys and cartoons have been getting worse year after year ever since Hasblo churned out that pish called Beast Machines.

I'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree with that. There have been more then enough awsome figures released since Beast Machines. Don't get me wrong, anyone that knows me is aware that I'm "Truk not Munkee" to the friggin' core, but that has nothing to do with the fact that beleave there have been some awsome figures out of every line released since Beast Machines went off air... with the obvious objections being Animorphs and the Play-Skool Go-Bots.
I'm looking forward to what they can do with this line and what this can do for the brand as a whole.

I'm sure kids will love them, but I just find them disappointing. With more detail and traditional heads I'd probably be looking forward to their release, but as it is the simplified stylization really does make them look like Playskool Go-Bots... but with the articulation and complexity of Energon figures.

I've been a pretty tried and true G1 styling fan from the get go. I only buy vehicle mode TF's of later series, and transmetals of BW. MP's are amazing, alternators as well. I also enjoy anime quite a bit, and have a real like for series such as Gundam and Evangelion.
To see that styling, with vehicle style alt modes and rock solid robot forms is like the best of all worlds for me. Yes they aren't too blocky in robot form and some of the features are a bit too smoothed and human, but man those robot form lines are slick and the fact that they can turn into decent looking vehicles is kickass.
I almost like the big muscle guys the best, just because of their exagerrated bodies and bulky alt modes. I can't see one robot I will have a that I will not want.

I love all the toys and Lugnutz and Bulkhead will probably be the first i get i just like them they are the muscle out of happenstance these guys might be some of my favorite toys. Also how could you judge it to be the worst tf toy ever when you never played with it also the honor of that sadly goes to leader movie megatron.
I'm a fan of Lugnutz and Bulkhead. My girlfriend likes them too, though I figure she mostly humors me.

I was skeptical at first, but I really dig the concept art for Blitzwing (hope the figure measures up) and the looks of Ratchet.
I'm only going to buy figures that will fit in with my Classics-themed collection. Hopefully Ratchet and Slag will mesh nicely...
