Here's the low down. All pics borrowed from Seibertron. :D

2nd Place - Custom Prime and Arcee Wedding Cake Top

3rd Place - Megatron taking a bath.

3D Custom Figure

1st Place - Hearts of Steel Megatron by Lobo :D

Image

2nd Place - Alternators CHP Prowl by Sidecutter

3rd Place - War Within Megatron by TFMaster

I forgot who all won the 2D Art catagories. :?

As for the Board Wars competition. We won our first game but lost the second. :( The games consisted of trivia questions being answered by a buzz in type game. 5 man teams and people rotated after each question. First round questions were worth 1,000 points and second round questions were worth 10,000 points. If you buzzed in and where wrong, points were taken away.

We were in a tie breaker round when we lost but I'm still a little confused how we ended up tied to begin with. At the end of our second competition the screen showed us being up by around 16,000 points but there were some answers that had to be hand calculated. I remember we were answering almost all of them correct and they even answered wrong on a few in the 2nd round.

But it was actually pretty fun. Some of the questions were very easy but some, especially old comic questions, were pretty tough.

Congratz Lobo... Now then, I can't believe that the RICOCHET repaint beat Tfmaster's War Within Megatron... Did the judges get drunk after judging yours Lobo and mix up the results with the last two?

Here's some pics of the trophies. Looks very similar to the one's from last year. I gotta say that the trophy itself really is a thing of beauty.

Thanks man!

Actually that Prowl repaint really was beautiful! Plus he made 2 identical ones.

It's just how the judges decided.

Well done , Lobo and TFM!!
Congrats!

...

Two repaints win 2nd place?
Two repaints win over a beautifully scratchbuilt kitbash??

I can do two repaints.

The difference?
I haven't done any repaints - so I'll shut up.

In all seriousness - I had no doubts that you guys would win!
Again, congratulations!!

did tfm show any pictures of megatron in alt mode? ive noticed over the last few years the botcon judges like the diversity of the customs, thats the only reason i can guess they didint want two scratchbulds to win first and second,

Could WW Megatron Transform? or was it stuck in robot mode?

If I were a judge, that would be the deciding factor for me between a beautiful repaint and a nice looking scratch build.

And to be fair, the CHP Prowl did have police lights added to the top, so it wasn't just a repaint

redecoed light bar..........that still doesn't....arrrgharghlskg;asvbgrgb; that still doesn't explain tfm's loss in the diorama catergory(one crack about weddingmus prime being original(which to comment on that i have seen practically the same thing before except with an elita-1,far more appropriate given the characters) and i'll poit you)ah hell,i'll do it anyway.POIT.POIT,POIT,POIT,POIT

Well, the idea was taken from a scene from the Beast Wars show so I can't fault the idea any more than cake toppers. I think both were really good, I just think TFmaster's setup was a lot better.

WTF! The cake topper... AAARRRGGGG!!!!! (brain aneurysm)

SOAB! Someone please post a pic of TFMs Menasor as it was at botcon so we can all see who should have taken either first or second in that contest, because really, it and a five foot devistator, thats the only real contest. And yea, the prowl is a good idea for a repaint, and MAYBE he did it well (although it really doesn't look like it even took that much repainting if you ask me) But in NO FREAKIN WAY does it deserve second. MAYBE third, MAYBE.

Oh wait, just saw the pic of that alternator Bombshell, no, Prowl didn't deserve third.
till all are one.

Devastator took pics of it in tank mode. I'm sure he'll put them up soon.

That Batmobile was awesome! As bad as they were, I still liked the Michael Keaton Batman movies and that Batmobile was the best out of all of them. It was dark and not too flashy. I want to see alt mode pictures!

Some one at the con (one of the dealers) got some pics of alt mode. It wouldn't sit together correctly for some reason. Hope nothing was broken. I'll bring his buisness card with me tommorow, he said he'd be posting the pics on his site. When i get the chance I'll make corrections to it and beg someone to borrow a camera. I'll have a gallery asap.
