Yep, suuuuuure....is.

Looks nothing like the character or toy it is supposed to.

I even heard Dirge failed some of his community college classes. Man is he dumb.

Any bets the secret figure or the super limited exclusive will be that Cosmos design they showed at last years' Botcon?

No way dude.

That thing would be priced out of the market to be an exclusive from a new mold.

I'd expect to see it more as a Titanium.

He has a sort of heroes of cybertron thing going on. None of the classics are perfect G1 incarnations, but they're damn close and cool enough to get for me. Especially seeing how the prices went up on Ironhide and Ratchet in the long run.

Yeah. I guess you're right but I just figured that with all the movie stuff coming and Classics at least going on hiatus that if they were going to come out with any new ones for the next year or so then Botcon would be the time.

Oh I want that so bad!

I can't wait to see what the other figures are. Can I buy them without going to Botcon?

Show some comparison pictures of Classics Dirge to a Gobot or a KO.

Prove your outlandish statement.

Counterpunch, it's even worse than I thought. I went looking for his yearbook picture at community college and well, here's what I found:

I didn't even know they had dunce caps in college or at any school after the early 1900's for that matter.

Yeah, I don't see the KO-ness or Gobot nature of this figure. I think this is one sharp figure, and if the others come out looking like this it will make for one awesome set.
But, you can never please everyone, especially on this site, so looks like we maybe in for another Classics Devatator-style flare up.

Dirge looks great. Better that Ramjet or Starscream.

Cool design on the wings. The G1 was always a little awkwards as one piece (aside from all G1's being a little clunky :-)

I know this is a matter of "bang for your buck"...and for blowing the money on a tiny wing tweak, I think this is the best way to go. Looks great, and they can spend the real money on remolding heads, thrust wings, etc. Things that will make a real dramatic difference.

Thumbs way up!

yay you were able to prove that there was an auction for g1 dirge...wait don't care. He meant prove that classics dirge resembles a go-bot/ko. Many people here have dirge, so he wasnt questioning your ownership.

and on subject: i happen to think that it looks really good for a simple repaint.

If you look at the bottom of the picture it's from my hotmail. Thus proved I have an invoice in my hotmail account and item in hand. Any idiot can look for a completed auction for dirge. =;

He looks good, but paying $87 bucks for him is crazy. Had he been $20, maybe ever 30 or 40 bucks, that would be ok. $90 for the set of 3 Seekers would be a little more reasonible.

As much as I want to finish off my seekers, I'm not going to dish out $300 bucks to do so.

I could really care less about dreadwing and Bugbite, too.

If I want Dirge and Thundercracker really bad, I think I'll paint a couple figures.

Haha. Well, that makes this piece that much less desirable. I'll just go ahead with my plans of customizing my duplicate Energon Starscreams into the Seekers. I might have to make my own wings for Dirge, Thrust, and Ramjet, but at least they'll have better articulation.
