You are probably right. I think the cross-talk over this at Charticon left me confused.

Very possible. They keep releasing the same set of three (the Recon Team redeco) in Generations packaging every year with one new additional guy in the case (Ironclaw in 2012 and Airlift in 2013). Makes no sense to me, maybe next year we'll get four more new ones or 8-pack re-releases.

My top 3 rarest would be:
(All are open and played with, obviously)

1) Botcon 2010 Spark AKA Pyro. He's NEVER for sale on Ebay. I had to buy it at 100$ shipped from an online store that was virtually closed!

2) Creator Primus. That repaint is perfect all over. Worth every cents of the 160$ shipped that I paid some years ago... especially now that he's worth 370$ shipped at the very least!

3) Energon Wing Saber. Very VERY hard to find, Energon Optimus Prime is NAKED without him. I found it for a real bargain at 60$ shipped, MISB! Just because it was the wrong name in the title of the auction!

By many of your definitions of rarity I am sitting on piles of money over here. Off the top of my head mine are:
-Botcon 06 (through 13) 100 percent complete. I am only missing 05 Ratchet to claim 05 and onward.
-Jafcon Black Convoy. He's less black than we've been led to believe.
-Botcon/OTFCC Sentinel Maximus.
I'm certain I have other rarities, these are the ones that jump out at me.

I normally buy stuffs in store with occasional buying on line. So I wouldn't consider mine are rare. But.........

1) Movie 1 Backtrack (Somewhat rare)
2) Cybretron Con Optimus (Only rare cause no one wanted to buy it, its still sitting in Universal's gift shop in Singapore)
3) DOTM Hasbro Soundwave

Somewhat rare I guess. :S
My favorite figures are mostly non-rare ones.

I was curious about what it was and I checked the gallery. So, okay, it's one of those Cybertron repaint. Very VERY nice motorbike. The robot mode... EEEEeewwwww..... Still, the bike mode IS worth a buy alone. Is it a scout or a deluxe? (Look like a scout to me)

Is it the REALLY rare and expensive deluxe, or the less rare but way superior Human Alliance? Personally, I would never buy the 90$ deluxe. That's why I bought the 50$ (shipped) HA version. Worth every penny.

Me too all the way. I love a TF that is nice looking in all modes but most importantly, FUN TO PLAY WITH. Meaning transforming back and forth and just going "pew! Pew! Pew!"

Note that I actually have 2 Mega SCF Skywarps. There are only 3 in existence (as far as I know), two of which only have the fists in purple (the other hands are in blue like Starscream) and 1 with all the hands in purple. I have 1 with blue hands and 1 with purple hands.

I also have Blue Henkei Bumblebee, gray & green parts Dark Scorponok, Autobot Henkei Black Convoy, and Energon Scorponok with test shot Dark Scorponok tail.

Plus things like Custom Class G2 Sideswipe, Animated Minerva, SG Longarm, tons of BotCon exclusives and Japanese show exclusives.
