I wasn't on this forum when the recent movie came out so i might have missed an explanation. I can't understand why Hasbro didn't give Americans a Bumblebee with clear windows, but Takara gave Japan an obviously higher quality toy.

I know that an obvious answer would be the lesser cost, but Jazz and the Concept Camaro and all the other deluxes (i think) all had clear plastic windows.

Why did they do this to Bumblebee? I just don't get it and it's so annoying. I recently bought this toy and I love it but I can't help thinking what it could've been.

I know this might have been a big deal back in June when the toy came out, and that there are probably numerous threads regarding it in the depths of the Energon Pub, but I'm fairly new and I apologize if this topic annoys any other members. I'm not sure how big of an issue it was, and so if raising it up again so far after the initial event bugs the hell out of anyone, I am truly, deeply sorry.

I hate when people raise old stuff like this and i hate to be one of those people but this problem annoys me SOOOOO much.

There really wasn't much annoyance toward it...I know I didn't mind...after all, the far better concept version was going to come out.

If it annoys you so much, mhy not just get the Japanese version?

With all the body parts folded up inside the cockpit I think clear windows would look rather messy.

i would like to say i agree with you but personally i dont really yes wheni buy a transformer first thing look for is detail how realistic it looks and how close it looks to the cartoon version if i was buying one from armada seris or batman the animated serise or any oher figure that is not transformer related thats just me but i like it

Like the last few guys said, the Camaro Concept version was coming out so I guess they didn't really care.

i forgot to mention how pricey the japanese version is on ebay.

well, i heard alot of solid points and it makes me a little better. it's just that, when i see the figure, i like everything except the windows- such an ugly blue. i also have the concept bumblebee so i guess thats a plus. when i saw the japanese bumblebee gallery on this site, i was blown away. i thought it was so much better than our american version. i'm short on money right now, and i have a list of tfs that i really want, so maybe once i finish that, i'll start bidding on a japanese version.

Ya know, the windows were the main reason why I didn't initially pick up the hasbro release and went through HLJ and got the takara version. Of course the drawback to the awesome blue windows is that the yellow in alt mode doesn't match up everywhere.

I later picked up the hasbro version when I saw him in a target months ago, and then proceeded to paint over the sad blue with a nice gloss black metallic. Did the same to the backside and problem solved!
