Classics Sunstreaker Q

Postby same138 » Sat Dec 27, 2008 4:11 pm

I picked up a Classics Sunstreaker during the week and opened him last night. The chest/head gimmick leaves his chestpiece a little bit off true. The head stops at a square peg at the back of the pice the head fixes to and this may be holding it back a bit. Has anyone else had this problem and has anyone got a fix for it if so?

Cheers

99% of the classics Sunstreakerhave this issue. Not sure if there is a fix.

Had this problem when I opened Sideswipe today. Solutions:
1) Unscrew whole torso and realign gears.
2) CAREFULLY apply force to the chest piece to make it skip the gear and line up properly.

I went with option 2 (as I did with Sunstreaker) and now both my versions of this fantastic mold are fine.

I'm familiar with 2) froom an accidental mistransform of a movie Bumblebee and it's too scary! Might give 1) a try or just accept Hasblow's crappy QC.

Cheers!

Just disassemble the entire torso and line up the gears straight then re-assemble it, it's actually really easy.

Motto: "If I win again I'm still the champion. If you win HAH! that's just impossible.

Weapon: tea cup."
Gears often get misaligned and a half-decent wrench will sort it!
