Well what I stated is purely speculation.
But I'm basing it on what I see as much as you are.
A) If your chest inflated would it look like that? Or would it just be really round? My thoughts were that it ripped the torso/chest in two and flipped outwards. Which accounts for the curves you see (breasts, stomach etc.)
B) The noise that you hear. It just sounds like something is being torn apart to me. Hence why I think A) is happening. Guess we'll find out later.

True, cos if you take a look at a human chest, like here by the way:
The midsection is made up of soft material (the stuff that is brighter then the rest), similar to your nose, which gives way far easier and often snaps if you do the hart massage.
And as you can se the ribes are roundish, and conected by the white soft material, which kinda looks like if something would push from the inside would let it open the way it does in the trailer.
And yes it did sound like a riping sound, if we hear a snapping sound to go along to it, we can say for shure she's being ripped apart, plus she was screaming in agony!

I found this on another site, so I take no credit for it. It does seem like she expands rapidly.

We discussed this on the previous page.
Bumblebee-otch that gif is fantastic.. You can actually see the torso moving..
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

Look at Robs face in this one as he is looking at her.

Sorry CB, I didn't see the pics on the first post.
Her legs do look really thin in the pic. All the speculation on this movie reminds me a lot of all the theories on Lost's plot. I guess it fits considering they're created by the same person.
I get the felling I will be dissapointed if I keep reading about this until it is released. It's kind of like a accident scean, you should look away but sometimes you can't.

Man, I have an even clearer GIF image of the creature moving in between the buildings. Problem is I can't find a site that will host images larger than 1.5mb. I need one that will host at 2.0 - 2.5mb

OK I read the wiki entry of Cloverfield and came across this site:
http://slusho.jp/
OK this is very strange, read the history of the site and you'll know why I think it's strange.
I'm browsing it right now to see if it has a bit of conection, or not, but hell it's still fun.
EDIT:
I looked thrue it, it has an email adress, that if you send it something it replies with:
"Slusho loves your mails. You can't drink just six!"
I sent them a email like 8 times and it's always the same Auto answer.
But if you read true the History part you'll see a few similarities to the suposed movie plot.
It says that the secret ingredient in the Slusho comes from the see, is a plant like thing and makes you grow and mutate into a different species!
Which would ad up to what Muffin suspects.
And if you stay for six minutes on http://www.1-18-08.com/ you'll hear the monsters scream!
Oh and on the slusho site it says that the secret ingredient is not good for your health!
This guy has some interesting ideas.

Talk of Plant Monsters, spores, bleeding eyes, etc. made me think of this old gem: The Day of the Triffids. It would be a huge stretch, but given Hollywood's propensity for drastically altering some remakes, not unbelievable.
Another possibility; given the vast popularity of Lovecraftian stuff these days, I've been wondering if it could be the monster is something Cthuluesque, and people exposed to it are being 'corrupted' into demidemons or something.
The idea of a serious movie based on Rampage just seems too ridiculous. On the other hand, some people said that about Transformers, and there does seem to be a lot of evidence.

Could be a "Shadow Over Insmouth" scenario, with Dagon as a larger monster and the Deep Ones and their hybrids filling in a smaller role.

Multiples Sightings of Case Designate"Cloverfeild"
Camera Retreived at Incident Sight U.S.447
Area Formerly Known As "Central Park"
Ok we are also overlooking this
It might not be much for any clues but it is telling us that possibly by the end of the movie they drop the camera as there were running from something or it was a huge Quarantine area and the camera was taken away from them.

It also implies that there are more than 447 "incidents" in the United States, and that Central Park is more or less obliterated or changed to the point that it is no longer called "Central Park".
