Combiner Wars Fan-Built Victorion and the Rust Renegades
Re: Hasbro Invites Transformers Fans To Create Massive Transformers Character To Enlist In Combiner Wars
I'm assuming these are going to be brand new characters. Shame as I would've liked to see some established characters in the combiner (Beta and Firestar never got toys, did they? Elita-1 could use a new toy, Minerva too)

Dragstrip is nice and curvy. Off Road's torso could be feminine. Firefly and Alpha Bravo could easily pass as female too.
I don't know why fembots need boobs to be female. They're not nursing any robo babies. The star ship Enterprise has a female voice, but no boobs. Though she does have a nice set of nacelles.![]()
For the sake of breaking down gender BS, maybe it's time we redefine what it means to be a fembot.
We know for a fact that the limbs will consist of two jets and two cars
For the torso Hot Spot and Silverbolt were the choices and since people did not know what Hot Spot looked like at the time I'm sure that Hop Spot will be the mold chosen which is good since it's better then the Silverbolt mold anyways.

There's nothing "perverted" about wanting female characters to have a more traditional looking female form. Variety is great too.

It was confirmed from the start that the combiner would be new Characters.
Wouldn't be a fan created bot if it was preexisting bots now would it?

I won't say sexist. Just unaware.
There's a reason why so many fan works use an "alternative" reading; ie. depicting close male friends as gay, gender ambiguous characters as female, characters with unknown lifestyles as being punk or goth or whatever. And the reason is representation.
If you're a straight male then seeing fans say "Oh, Starscream and Megatron are totes gay for each other" can be frustrating, as it seems like a willful violation of canon and facts. But the thing is, if you're a straight male, there are also plenty of examples of your preferred method of interaction, both explicit and hinted. Elita-1 and Optimus? Arcee and Hot Rod/Springer? Carly and Spike? Meanwhile, the first openly queer relationship in Transformers takes over 25 years to appear. If you're a gay viewer and you want to see people who represent you then your only choice is fanworks.
Similarly, if you're a female Transformers fan, then you probably notice that the male to female ratio is absurd. The first official non-retcon, non-exclusive TF toy was Transmetals Airrazor. And even when female Transformers do appear they typically get shoehorned into a specific role; often the tough, sensible yet vulnerable character. Male Transformers can be weak, fat, stupid, old, or stubborn, but the female always has to be young, smart, and slim. There are exceptions (Strika) but those are rare in an already rare group. So again, if you're a female fan and you want to see people like you, you have to go to fanworks.
I'm jumping to the conclusion that you're a straight male, in which case representation has likely never been a issue, but try to remember that if fan made Transformers are always female it's because there's a lot of female fans out there who want to get a little taste of the same smorgasbord of choice you get.

Nothing wrong with them being female I was just asking why the needed to be stereotypically feminine or curvy.

My apologies if this information bothers you in any way; for some reason when I brought this up in 4chan I was accused of "trolling" for pointing out the existence of a previous character with the same name. I just thought it needed bringing up; not trying to cause trouble here.
I'm pretty sure that any existing copyrights for Brave Saga likely are not going to be registered in a way that would block Hasbro's usage. And even if it did, it the original copyright is held by Takara, then getting the rights will be a simple agreement.

Guys I'm really sorry for my posts about this I really am not trying to sound like that females suck or that the combiner is awful.
My English is crap since I'm a disabled person so what I type is mostly not the same as what I mean and feel and I really hate how I can't explain properly what I actually mean.
I just feel that something is rather off about how this voting went and I can't explain it I just don't feel right about this.

A reason why there are so few females is because that Transformers is meant to be a boys themed toyline and Boys don't really like buying females toys now this doesn't stop them from being in comics and tv shows but for the toys themselves female action figures have a hard time being sold.

I get what you're saying. Most female transformers have been slender and curvy, often with built-in high heels and proportioned like models. Some have had modest busts, some had gigantic bosoms, but with the exceptions of Strika and Strongarm, pretty much all fembots have had about the same body proportions. Meanwhile the male characters range from buff, like Optimus, squat, like Swerve and Fat Tankor, broad, like Bulkhead, lanky, like Cyclonus..... they run the gamut. What you and I want is women in all different body shapes like that. Am I interpreting you right?

Alright so moving on from the only negative thing about this for me.
I'm super happy that Victorion was the name chosen and that they come from the sea of rust and have some jets in their ranks which means more flying Autobots.
The name goes so well with Superion and I hope that the two combiner teams become buddies in the comics I really hope so.
Slammonth is a name that should be saved for a beast combiner plus the name sounds tacky/cheesy anyways.
Forgot what the third name was but it doesn't seem rememberable enough to matter anyways.

It's a sticky issue. Female characters do tend to sell less in male dominated toylines, for what I think are obvious reasons. That said, it may have quite a bit more to do with the marketing of said toys than any inherent inclination of female buyers.
Hasbro is looking at this from a marketing perspective. Female fandom in the property has picked up quite a bit in recent years. Both Prime and the MTMTE comic have sizeable female audiences. The Windblade comic apparently did well enough to justify an ongoing. The recent round of fembots apparently sold well; I rarely found any on my local store shelves, and those I did find were quickly snapped up. There is an audience for this sort of thing, and Hasbro and Takara would be foolish to ignore it.

That sounds about right yup.
I also hope that some of them have face plates especially their leader since a female Autobot with a faceplate just sounds awesome.

I'd like to point out a real problem with toyline merchendising.
You know. Black Widow from the Avengers isn't on much of the merchandise and her toy is shortpacked. For the old, animated TMNT film, I was actively searching for Karai - never found her at a store. The show Young Justice didn't click with boys, but did click with girls. What did the execs do? Rather than rework their marketing plan they just canned the show outright!
There's an assumption that girls won't want an action figure, but that's what that is - an assumption. A self fulfilling prophecy. If you short pack girl action figures and don't advertise them, then, obviously, girls won't really be into the franchise.
However, I will say that I don't think that just reusing male robot moulds would necessarily attract girls either. It's a real fine line. TFs don't wear stylish clothing; they wear cars and jets. I dunno if there's enough there all on it's own.

How great (awful) would it be if they went for some Japanese style ridiculous missile/gun/cannon boobs on the new fem-bot team.
There's nothing wrong with adding more variety in the Transformers universe. If you can't handle that, then maybe you should find something else to collect/be a fan of that's more in-line with your narrow-mindedness.

I'm not trying to sound like a dunce here but who was the first?
Bruticus.
But we don't talk about that...

I just hope these don't get thrown in as a last wave of the year thing and no brick-and-mortar stores get them in. That really upset me about Arcee and Chromia. Probably won't be as bad since they aren't going to be pink.
Shhhhhhh... I was never here. You never got anything from me.

There's nothing wrong with adding more variety in the Transformers universe. If you can't handle that, then maybe you should find something else to collect/be a fan of that's more in-line with your narrow-mindedness.
About that second part.
1: That's just rude.
2: Just because someone has a small problem with such a small thing doesn't mean that their narrow minded just means they have a different opinion then you get used to it.
3: That's just goddamn rude.
