Does it really need to be locked? I can see why it would make sense since it's likely to turn into a forum for folks asking other folks to send them the images, but there's still room for discussion among those of us who've seen them or want another place to share thoughts about the Animated line.

Close your eyes to this and you may easily miss out on a series as good as the G1 cartoons.

Teen Titans a travesty?! Dunno when you started or stopped watching, but I'd easily place TT among the top three (maybe even two) non-anime series I've seen in my lifetime. As much as I like G1, I couldn't even give it that distinction.

But then again, I rather enjoyed what I saw of W.I.T.C.H. and Totally Spies (and Winx Club) as well, even if it was cheesy magical spy valleygirl type stuff. :P

Anyway, yeah, that Megatron RULED! ;)

I guess, I just think then that maybe the title shoudl be changed to animated toys discussion.. as apposed to animated scans sinc ethey no longer are present..it's kind of a let down to not see them.. :-(

Damn it. These pictures reach the internet and not a one of the grey Starscream that's shown on the same spread (as far as I can make out, the images have obviously been taken down now) that I was pretty much ridiculed for starting a thread about last week.

To all of those who are bitching about the images being taken down -- if you want to see them, join the Collector's Club, it's that simple. It's $40 a year for crying out loud, and you'll truly be supporting the brand that we've all come to love. The more people that join the club, the more that we, the collectors, can get out of being a member. And no, I am not in any way affiliated with the club aside from being a fellow member and collector. I just really want to support the club, and if it means promoting it to people who want the benefits of what you can get from the club (i.e. the photos that were removed), but don't want to pay for them, then I'm happy to do so.

Not trying to offend anyone -- just my two cents. Thanks for listening.

And for the 40 bucks, you get a free figure every year, discount at the store and a discount for Botocon packages, along with the TFCC magazine and comic.

It is actually a pretty nifty package imo.

If the Mods take something down for "copyright purposes/violations" then that's an un-written statement to also not to ask people for copies.

Does this club even suport people outside of the US/North America?

I tried to find out, but apart from a location selector that ONLY includes miltary posts and US states, there is NO indication.

If someone can prove to me that they suport UK citizens, and that they dont charge over the top for it, and that they provide the same service as our North American friends get, and that it is actully worth the money, I will sign up for it.

Im not signing up to a club that dosnt actully suport collectors from the UK.

And on another note, are there any members who are willing to show me the pics, please pm. (I know in the past there have been.)

Redimus, I'm a UK based member but havn't had a lot of use out of the club store as yet. Basics of what you need to know are that international membership is $89 per year as opposed to the $40 for basic domestic US membership. For that you get the six mags and six master collectors, the next annual member figure, access to the club forum and club rates at the club store. FunPub's international shipping rates seem quite steep from what little I've had from them so far and they ship items along with a listed invoice copy so expect UK customs to bang VAT onto that before you receive a package. The way that this worked with my GoD set was that customs released the package to Parcel Force who then invoiced me for the VAT and an extra £8 for a PF handling charge. The other thing to note is that if you're ordering the Botcon toys you essentially pay the same price for the non attending package as the attending package but without a convention to go to or the extra attendee figure, although US based members opting for the non attendee package are in the same boat with this one.

I'm planning to keep my membership going at least as long as the E combiner repaints are being released as the member figures and probably beyond that if the rate with which they release other exclusives starts to pick up. It's not cheap for the international package but properly supported the club can grow into a fantastic resource and I like to feel that I'm doing my bit to support it, whether I ever end up travelling Stateside for a Botcon or not.

Sure they support the UK...but it does cost a little more due to shipping...

Hmm, quite frankly, you're not selling it for me. Surly there's enough europeans who collect tfs for Hasbro to set up a european wing of the tfcc, which would result in cheaper prices and therefore a much more realistic choice for us.

Except that the club really has pretty much nothing to do with Hasbro. They're licensed to use the brand and the characters, advertised on TF packaging and get some content for their mag but that's really it. The exclusives that they put out are sourced directly from Tomy rather than Hasbro, so while they are US released and Hasbro licensed articles they're not Hasbro toys as such. For such a small company it simply wouldn't be practicle to set up a European arm.

Unless you mean Hasbro licensing somebody locally to offer something similar for the European market or doing something in house. I don't see either of these as being likely and even if they were to come about they wouldn't be able to offer the same product as FunPub. For now it's what we've got, and without the huge turnover that a company the size of Hasbro has behind it they really do need the support. I'm affraid it's pretty much a case of use it or lose it. If it helps think of them as being kind of like a US version of ehobby, except with a convention to run and a subscription.

Care to elaborate? The fact the pics were taken down, or the TFCC's rather petty thing about insisting their pics are taken down. (Thats another point, it's hardly making me wanna join seeing how petty they are about these pics.)

As a club member I have to say this.

I have paid a ridiculous amount to be a member of the club. The cost to Canadian members is too.

I get my issues a month late (ALWAYS), the club prices are good at the store but their shipping costs to Canad are simply retarded.

All in all, I paid money to see these pics before everyone else. If you didn't pay to see them then sorry but too bad for you either put up or shut up.
