I dont know if it has been mentioned before ... but :

HOW THE HECK DO I GET THE BATTERIES OUT OF CYBERTRON PRIMUS'S OMEGA LOCK ?! ... :-(

I have opened the Omega Lock, i found the batteries ... but i couldn't get um out ...

And since i hate battery acid, i dont wanna push a screwdriver in between them with the power of Bruticus ... if you know what i mean ...

Is there a good and secure way 2 get em out?

They are button cell batteries, so no acid.

You can use a pair of needle nose pliers to pull one of them out. if you shake the omega lock against the palm of your hand they'll move a bit. push on of them back in and use the pliers to pull the other one out.

That explains why my MISB armada Red Alert wasnt leaking after 5 years in the box ! ...
But ... what are they then powered of? ... please dont say Mercury ... i HATE mercury ... i hate every heavy metals btw

Hi there,

i am Annemiek and living in the Netherlands. My sun got an Tranformer Primus. But we are missing the Omega lock. Is this nessecery for its transformation or can he do without?

Can someone please let me know.

Primus absolutely needs the Omega Lock to transform.

If you want to get him in robot mode without it, then you might have to take him apart using a screwdriver. If that's possible. And then never transform him again.

Hey Annemiek,

Die Omega Lock is helaas nodig voor bepaalde stappen van Primus' transformatie (zijnde de rug, borst en onderbenen). Dat is het enige vereiste, de vier gouden Cyber Keys zijn niet nodig en dienen alleen ter decoratie.

And in English:

Hey Annemiek,

unfortunately the Omega Lock is needed for some part of Primus' transformation (like the back, chest and the lower legs). That is all you'll need, the four golden Cyber Keys are optional and merely decorative.

I have seena couple videos on youtube (im sorry I don't have specific links right now) where they transformed him without one...Just used a little extra force...

Ive reviewed Cybertron Primus, unfortunatley Id completely forgotten that Id taken the Omega Lock apart to change the LED from red to white or blue..

I used the back end of a small screwdriver to press the button inside each socket in the legs, the chest and back sockets are just sliders, but Im not sure if you could do this without the lock itself.

If its any help you can see my review here...

You can transform Primus without the lock. In Planet mode, the lock on the top of Primus has a button that must be pressed in while sliding the lock back and swings the guns forward. The two locks for the legs have buttons on the side of the keyhole that has to be pressed in while rotating the semi-circles around to form the legs. Finally, The chest port has a button in the center, like the first one, that has to be pressed in while sliding to raise the head and flip the chest panels. If you use a flashlight to look inside the keyholes, you will see the buttons. You may also need a tool like a pen, pencil or anything with a flat surface (chopstick works well) to press in the button while sliding the port open or closed. I usually use my index finger. It is a bit tricky but not impossible. I have transformed my Primus a number of times this way. Let me know if you need any more help.
