Did anyone ever watch Static Shock as a kid? I really wish they made another series with him that was more grown up. I think they have some great characters in that series that would do so well as adults. I know there are probably comics, but animated shows are easier for me to pay attention to.

Static Shock is one of the best.I don't get why DC keeps pushing Black Lighting when they alreday have him.

The funny thing is I didn't even realise Static Shock was DC until the Batman and Superman crossover episodes, but yeah it was a good show and it would be great to see more of those characters in some form. Static was a DLC character for the mobile app version of Injustice: Gods Among Us, so hopefully he'll be playable in Injustice 2.

I didn't mind it. Definitely better than Batman vs Superman.

This isn't a question regarding the TV or movieverse, but I couldn't find another DC thread, so I'm asking for help here.
I tried to search on google, but I didn't get any clear answers, so I'm hoping maybe 1 of you uberfans of Superman comics can help me out. I remember a story line in a Superman comic (I don't even know which one, I had it about 25 years ago and lost it) where Jor-El traveled to Earth and became human for some reason and when he finished doing what he wanted to do, his wife wouldn't allow him to return to be a Kryptonian. That's all I remember as far as details, along with him looking exactly like Clark in his Earth form. Does this ring a bell with anyone? Or have I just lost too many brain cells? I'm looking for the comic issue(s) with this story arc. Thanks in advance for any help.

I do recall Jor-El venturing to Earth to "scout" it as a potential place to send Kal-El. But can't say I remember him becoming human.

Has anyone watched the latest animated movie? Teen Titans: The Judas Contract. Popped up on my feeds, but haven't had time to hunt it down yet.
Is it worth it? I tend to enjoy the animated verse more than the live action one, as a general rule, though there are some stinkers in there too..

I thought I knew this, but then I realized I'm thinking of a Smallville episode, which in turn, was probally based off of this comic story. Sorry.

Maybe he didn't, I can't remember clearly. I do remember his wife telling him he had to stay on Earth for some reason. I'll keep searching, I guess.Burn wrote:I do recall Jor-El venturing to Earth to "scout" it as a potential place to send Kal-El. But can't say I remember him becoming human.

What I'm remembering may have been New 52. What you're remembering may be pre-New 52.

I had the comic back in '90-'91, over 25 years ago. I lost it while moving a few times since, and I would like to read it again.Burn wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:Maybe he didn't, I can't remember clearly. But no connection to the other DC shows.
Setting it up for fail. Typical DC.

Nope. Waiting for a home release.
Don't care what everyone is saying about how great it is. Calling it "the best DC movie yet" isn't exactly praise when I look at the rest of the crap they've churned out.

Going by the reviews, it's supposed to be a pretty good movie in general. I try to avoid calling it "The best DC Movie" since, yeah, that's like saying "The best insect to be stung by."

Slying aside, I've heard the movie is quite excellent. Still, I won't be seeing it until it's on Netflix or something.
Wonder Woman simply isn't a character I care much about, id feel the same about Aquaman, so I don't want to hear any crappie about not liking women. I'd watch the **** out of a proper Supergirl movie. He'll, I love her show.
