Personally I think the only reissue that can compaire to PM Prime is Megatron, but that may be cuase th PM Prime reissue was the first Prime I ever got (and I have a few now).

PM Prime is a good toy, and the fact that Hasbro's reissue is largely an improvement on the original is super. If I could justify having two, I would buy the reissue.

Did Takara reissue Ginrai?

Yup, and hasbro used the same one wholesale.

I got My (Hasbro) one from somerandom obscue comic shop in Hull. They never did anything else that transformed (though they had a couple of transformer statues), then they closed and turned into a sweet shop.

I think I was EXCEPTIONALLY lucky to find him there. He'd been out a good couple of years by then.

Ive fancied getting the origanal Hasbro PM Prime, If only so I can have one to stand next to the origanal G1 Prime.

I don't know why you would! If I suddenly obtained the reissue, I'd sell my original and never seem him again!

He's the ONLY prime ever to have a acrtoon acurate alt mdoe AND robot mode. It was a very clever bit of design. All the others (including MP/20th) have slightly odd alt modes.

Hm, you know, this got me thinking. I really need to get ahold of the movie preview and matrix glow magnus reissues. I've been wanting these 2 for a while.

Ah, the short stacks on Magnus aren't that big of a deal, especially if he stays in 'bot mode most of the time. That said, I hope Takara reissues him again, because I want ehobby to release him in Powered Convoy colors.
It would be nice to have the Takara Prime though. My TRU one looks stubby.
Of course, I have the Encore series preordered, so hopefully that will be corrected soon.

I've never udnerstood the smokestack issue. I personally don't see how shortened smokestacks detract from the figure. The TRU / Western versions look fine to me.
