Does anyone know a better way to remove pins from the hinges on figures?

I tried removing the pin that holds Deluxe Arcee's wrist to her forearm and its really tight. I did major surgery on Arcee cause I couldn't stand how he knees cannot be bent back at the upper portion of the joint. I also cut a little on her inner elbow and deltoids so she can bend her arms at a different angle. Right now I wanna put ball joints on her wrists, I think this will really add to Arcee's expressiveness.

a better way than what?
really, you should drill the pin out, or dremel on side to get the pin to come out. i mean, there's really no other way.
i have tried a small hammer and pin, to whack and remove a pin, but it was larger, and i don't think i'll try it that way again

Brute force=Sledgehammer! Oh wait, I thought you said, "Does anyone know a better way to remove figures from the pins?"

No seriously, it's a hard job. You will need a firm and Smaller pin to knock out the one in question. More than likely, you will have to fabricate one. Cut a paperclip short(too short to bend) and start tapping it in to push out the one in question. Then use a pair of pliers(maybe locking, less damage to removed pin) and remove the pin.

Good luck!

I managed to get it out using some elbow grease...but it has to be tapped out from top to bottom. Top being arcee's thumb area. The pin on the bottom part has a thicker knurled pattern.
Its indeed risky, cause I slipped and got a little crack on the wrist post...but then again like Auto Bot said:
"No sacrifice, no victory" :D

The girl at Hasbro told us that when screws are tight, she uses a screw driver bit in a soldering iron to heat it up and it makes the plastic more workable. So maybe there is a way to get some heat onto the pin to make it warom and it should slide right out.

Hey I see what you are saying, good tip...maybe a soldering iron with a pointy tip would work that way...

That's what I was thinking, some sort of punch in a soldering iron and leave it touchin the metal pin and hopefully som eheat will transfer loosening the pin.
