itMFtis wrote:That's odd because all deluxes are under $10 right now and all voyagers are under $20 at Walmart. HA scouts are also $10. Maybe you should avoid TRU? They tend to have ridiculous prices.
Edit: Oh I see you are in Canada. I have no idea what prices you guys pay for TFs and what stores you have.

And that has what to do with this topic?

Cheaper health care/insurance means more disposable income for things like Transformers.

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

And that has what to do with this topic? And since you raised the topic, the British NHS is not all it's cracked up to be and at least when you 'pay out the butt' you have recourse to complain or be compensated when it goes wrong. And it's not entriely free either, between taxes and having to pay for a portion of some parts of the service (eg dentistry) we pay enough for our supposedly free healthcare. Add to that Britain is generally one of the most expensive places in the world to live in.
Now back to the overly expensive plastic crack if you don't mind.

and our our dollar is stronger than yours.....Hasbro is making quite a killing off of us Canadians.
As much as i like Megatron (although he is in serious need of paint apps) he's not worth 34 dollars!!!
It pisses me off seeing the low prices you listed above. It's quite a substantial difference.

monstergrotusque wrote:I popped into TRU the other day and noticed the DOTM line is out and i picked myself up a Megtron for 30 bucks! a bit pricey.
Then i checked out the deluxe figures. They're priced at 16.99!! WTF?
Then i looked at the price tag of the HA scout sized figures and they are priced at 15.99!!! CRAZY.
Megatron is the ONLY figure i'm getting from this line. It's too expensive. Not to mention pretty weak.

Now, if Hasbro sells Costco TF's at $50 per case and next year the same $50 per case and the Canadian dollar increases in value, then yes, AT THAT POINT hasbro will get more money. But it isn't because the charge other countries more than the US.

Then do yourself a favor and get healthcare. If you're worried about the price, join the military. Bam, free healthcare(and LASIK if you need glasses) in the US.
National healthcare is NOT all the Liberals make it out to be and will result in even fewer people being motivated to become doctors(a profession with numbers already declining because the cost/benefit ration isn't high enough for 12+ years of schooling, often paid for through loans) due to the cap on salaries national healthcare imposes(there's a reason more and more foreign doctors are moving to America).
That said, insurance companies DO need to lower prices, but the bill that got passed is NOT the fix(it really makes things worse if you sit and read it).
