Dumbasseryness....Transformers makes me want to vomit

Postby Coolyfett » Fri Oct 19, 2007 9:59 pm

Man I am trying to like this DVD...I purchased the 2 disc set. I just can't get into a lot of the special features...All the military stuff is boring....Bay has a relationship with the military....Bay has a relationship with the military....Bay has a relationship with the military....Bay has a relationship with the military....damn how many times are they going to say that??? No explanation of why the Transformers were designed the way they were. I can't even watch the movie strait through. I skip to the same parts. Barricade vs Bumblebee, Autobots Arrival, big fight in Mission City...I did try to watch it strait though but the parts mentioned are so good it makes the rest of the movie lame. We don't even get to see all the voice actors, just Pete Cullen. I just expected more from this DVD.

If you have a favorite part on disc 2 please let me know so I can go back and watch it. I wanted to learn more about the movie, and I didn't.

An easter egg is a special hidden program in a DVD menu. You find them by pressing an illogical button like left when there is nothing to select there. Sometimes a logo or other little thing will highlight. That's an easter egg.

And where do you find this rip off the skirt easter egg, and what edition?

i agree, i was bored witht he extras disc. who cares that the movie was filmed in some egypt-looking place and the sand was really hot. i was hoping more would said about the design of the characters and whatnot. seems like all these "special features" dvds are a bunch of boring bullshit.

Personally I found all of the special features interesting except that last two on the "Our World" section. Admittedly the ones on the "Their War" section were a lot better.

@Coolyfett, You must not have watched all of the special features because one of them on the "Their War" section ("Rise of the Robots" maybe?) does explain why they designed them the way they did.

hmm.. you didn't watch it all. The first set of features was millitary stuff, and the second set of features, was character creation and how it varied from show to movie.. these questions you have were answered, in fact.

I believe one could say that in these features, there is definatly more than meets the eye... to them. yeah.

Yea I did watch that. That is actually the part I like. I liked the animated/live action comparisons but Ironhide and Ratchet didnt get much love.

What I meant was its hard the watch the movie all the way through. When your in the movies there is no fast forward and rewind, but now that I have that control I find myself skipping around. I can watch TFM all the way through, but TF1 just has a lot of boring parts..TO ME....Im hoping TF2 is better.

You mean to tell me me they are making more TF1 DVDs??? That is just stupid. Is there not 9 different versions from 9 different stores/companies already???

I have the REGULAR 2 disc SE version that I got from best buy. It was normal.

Dreamworks/Paramont is raping the Transformers brand!!!

I liked the extra's disc because it because a bunch of the scenes were filmed here. That Egypt looking place is White Sands Missile Range where they tested the 1st nuclear weapon. They have signs all over the place saying don't pick up any 'glass' you find in the sand. :D

Damn I was afraid of that. As a matter of fact that's what irked me during the whole publicity for the movie, no one did anything focusing on the voice actors. Normally any movie where there are animated characters, especially Disney, one of the some entertainment shows, or E, would at LEAST interview the voice cast, but no one did any of that.

I enjoyed the second disc but for $30 it was a rip off no doubt. Since when did you you have to pay a $15 fee for the second disc? I remember I bought the first Spiderman on DVD the day it came out, and it came with the 2nd disk, and for that mater had a LOT more special features for like $13.99. Whats with movie companies these days trying to rape people for extra cash? There didn't used to be a "standard move only" and "Special edition" it used to be all one package.

But yeah this DVD didn't include half the stuff you see in other 2 disc sets. No deleted scenes. No outtakes. No music videos, etc. All you get is a second disc with a bunch of behind the scenses stuff on it, last about 2-3 hours, and thats your $15. If I had to do it again, I woulda just picked up the standard DVD.

THEY'RE WRONG FOR THAT :-x :-x :-x ! I thought that was the purpose of DVD special editions and stuff. To me those LOTOR ones with the added footage and deleted scenes were worth the money.

oh yeah definitly. The LOTR disc sets are the hands down best disc sets you can get. You get your money's worth. Sadley I feel cheated with the TF Special edition. Wish I could exchange it for just the standard edition DVD
