empty shelves
None of the Wal-Mart or Target stores in my area have the Movie Deluxe or Basic toys. Might they be preparing to stock some newer figures?

they're taking so long to get more transformers out because they're combining transformers with harry potter. they're working out how to make a Dumblebee, an Optimus Potter, and Voldetron. there will also be a line of Mighty morphin Power Grangers...

yeah, it's so annoying. I've been to 3 stores already and all they had were the FABs and Cyber Slammers.

Does Kohl's have Leader class, or just Deluxes?
I tell ya, I've about given up until October. Or at least until I see page after page of members here posting about how their local stores are brimming full of new waves. It's not so much as a hunt at this point. A hunt implies an actual quarry, of which there doesn't appear to be any at the moment.

I found Voyager Optimus at my local Fred Meyer today. Though I could tell it wasn't a new shipment. Someone had it stashed on the top of a shelf. The rest still remained empty. I neglected to buy it the first time and regretted it when I didn't see them stocked for almost 3 weeks. I still need Leader Megatron, but other than that here are my total finds (none bought off ebay, all found):
Deluxe class:
Jazz
Bumblebee (classic)
Bumblebee '08 (never saw it again after the one time)
Arcee (never saw it again after the one time)
Dreadwing (never saw it again after the one time)
Protoform Prime
Protoform Starscream
Scorponok
Wreckage
Bonecrusher
Swindle
Barricade
Brawl
Voyager Class:
Starscream
Blackout
Ironhide
Rachet
Leader Class:
Optimus Prime
Target Exclusives
Hardtop
Real Changers
Booster X10
Spy Shot 6
Longview
Speed Dial 800
Zoom Out 25x
Power Up VT6
Robo Replicas
Bumblebee
Barricade
(I passed on Megatron; it looks really lame)
other
Voyager Jetfire (RiD)
Real Movie Voice Optimus Prime Voice Changer Mask
GPX Boombox Frenzy Life-Size Replica CD/Radio (okay that was ebay found, but that's not a toy)
Wal-Mart was actually pathetic this morning.. Doesn't even look like a Transformers section anymore. They gave it 2-3 pegs wide of total space for all TFs. Fred Meyer Stores have also shrunk considerably. TRU's section is getting smaller too. I really hope Hasbro kicks it up a notch here, I'm really starting to get annoyed that I can't find this stuff anymore. I'm fortunate to have started fairly early before the film came out to avoid problems finding stuff later, but I am trying to find stuff for my friend and I'm having no luck lately except my find today of Leader Prime.
I have to give credit to Hasbro for putting out tons of Star Wars when the fi;ms were out, but this TF business is ridiculous! They seriously need to get on the ball here especially while the movie is still fresh in people's mind!
Also on Saturday I caught a phone pic:

There was another guy with them and they are regulars. Always skimming through the damn hotwheels. The person with them not pictured was snatching up all the Bumblebee and Megatron Robo Replicas ("Ah what the heck, they're only $9.99" as he said), some GI Joe 25th Anniversary stuff and some wrestling figures. Also other toys that were the female characters in the line because those are always short packed. "It's gonna be an expensive morning today!" he Proclaimed. Really horrible... Nothing you can do though. I wish the stores would start putting out stuff later in the morning so these guys don't get it all before legit collectors do. I have a hard time believing these people really collect these for fun, seeing the vast variety of shortpacked or less common stuff in their baskets.

It's just a midwave lull. They're leaking out the more craptacular stuff like the Tech Toys, BeatMix BB, and the Robot Replicas to,
A) sell them to parents just looking for something TF to get for there kids
and
B) get us collectors hungry for real bots so we just scoop them up as soon as they hit without question.
I just figure it this way, we all love new mold bots, so why not just keep pumping out 4 or 5 monthly like they use to?
Think about it, it was only during Cyberton that bots went fron being released monthly to quarterly(with luck).
With so many repaints and now filler toys like "Tech", they don't have to try so hard, which just means we have to sit longer.
Don't they know, Patience and collecting do not go hand in hand
