pretty much, and the Reborn 2-Pack as well.. these are great though for the Gimmicks and the nostalgia part, plus if your like me and got into Beast Wars late and missed out on the originals, then these are a wonderful addition to the collection.. they have a better more accurate Cartoon color repaint..very nice!!!! :grin:

Not really because the only gimmick the BWR versions were missing was the mutant heads in favor of show accurate heads, every thing else was present. Plus as nostalgia pieces they would have been better of reissuing the original moulds in the original colours. Much loke Hasbro's Commemorative Soundwave using the Soundblaster mould these are a bit of a poorly conceived oddity.

your right the gimmicks are in the Reborns....

But I prefer the cartoon accurate repaints to that of the originals..Megatron just looks better to me with chest detail then having a plain black chest...

Yes he does but we had the reborn figures for that. To use your G1 analogy for a second, imagine if there had been no G1 reissues (hard to imagine I know :wink:

) and then 20 plus years later they release classics Starscream, he's a great improvement on the original mould but his deco isn't quite G1 accurate. The they announce the will reissue the original G1 starscream but in the same deco? Does that seem right? I personally don't think so, IMO they have been better off reissuing them as they were originally people who want reissues of the originals would buy them and people who already own the BWR might be interested too, as it stands I'm not really sure who these new reissue/repaints are aimed at other than people who didn't get the BWR set when it was freely available.
