Armada baby. Even though I started off with Beast Wars, Armada really brought me into the hobby.

As a whole, Cybertron is the way to go. It is THE kickass all-round line.
Second comes the movie line. Too many 'stay away' figures like Megatron and Swindle, BUT the absolutely awesome figures of Leader Prime, Ironhide, Ratchet, Arcee and Bumblebee (I don't have Bumblebee) make this line an Autobot goldmine.
I'm curious about Energon. My intuition tells me it would be 3rd place.

I will say classics because it combine the g1 era with modern design features.

It's a toss up between G1 and Classics. Can't hate an original. And can't hate an update to the original. There both pure awsomeness!

Collection Count: Just enough G1 & Classics to make this look good!

Classics and Beast Wars. In fact I'm selling almost everything else, except for my primes and megatron/galvatrons. The other lines are just "meh" to me.
FYI: I don't own any G1, my brother takes care of that end.

G1 always because that is where my inner child resides, I also like Alternators, but don't own any, so I would have to say movie after G1 (and reissues)

oh my
Hard hard question...
I'll answer for all the lines:
G1: Because it's the beginning and has all of the most fabulous characters in it (thanks to Bob Budiansky who took the care to create fabulous characters rather than boring 1-dimmensional blurbs)
G2: Because it is G1 but a smaller and more coherent cast, as well as a dalker tone to it.
BW: The animal modes are gorgeous, the robot modes freaky and poseable, the story inspirational - this is the series to own in the long run.
RID: You get a really nice cross section of TFs here; from beasts to vehicles that resemble real cars, and you get Fortress Maximus back so why not? Also there's the slapstick humor factor and the Poet Shark - it's a funny ride and will make you smile
ARMADA: I see no reason to collect this series when so many other promising series exist. Just grab all the Minicons and a few of the nicer characters... but the series? er...no.
Energon: See Above
CYBERTRON: Truly a great all-around series. You have authentic earth vehicles, beasts, sci-fi vehicles, a variety of classes, minicons - basically you have the best from each of the previous series rolled into one -- plus Primus.
Alternators/Binaltech: If you like replica cars and realistic/complex Transformations - Macross stuff - then this is the series for you.
Robotmasters: Not really enough to collect this series alone. Some great choice characters but...nah...
Titanium: No.
Movie: No.
Skids (yawn - sleepy)
