When the Power of the Primes line was coming out, I, like many others began collecting the Prime Master figures of the original 13 primes.
But alas, we only got 8 of them in traditional "pretender shell" style.
Some other figures came with other Prime Masters, such as Predaking, with Onyx Prime, or some of the exclusives, like Punch/Counterpunch.
I managed to get my hands on Onyx, Prima, and a second Megatronus, who, due to the red and black coloring, I have decided represents some sort of "The Fallen" state.
These extras weren't available with pretender armor, and notoriously, the last few were only available with an expensive, exclusive Optimus Primal. After deciding "screw overpriced Optimus Primal and his throne and scepter", I bought duplicates of a few of the original Prime Masters, and began repainting and kitbashing...
(I also decided, that since the 13th Prime was "whoever currently has the matrix", that there's no one person for a Prime Master to "inherit the spark of", so in my headcanon, there is no 13th Prime Master.)
And here they are all together.
Finally completed my Prime Masters

Re: Finally completed my Prime Masters
Using Liege Maximo/Skullgrin, I made Longtooth armor for Onyx Prime.
It worked surprisingly well. So many skulls and spikes and things were already in the right places, that I can't help but wonder if HasTak were originally planning to repaint this mold themselves. Since I was already repainting, I switched the dull gray claw from Megatronus, and gave him the cool silver one from Liege Maximo. Glue on some plastic bits for his weird eyepiece and done.
Vector Sigma/Metalhawk became Amalgamous Prime/Stranglehold.
It worked pretty well. The red sash had to be horizontal instead of diagonal, but other than that, pretty spot on. The poor lighting where I took the picture makes the skin tone paint look more yellow than it is, though.
Alpha Trion/Landmine became Nexus Prime/Roadblock.
Had to get a little creative here, but I think it turned out pretty good.
And finally, Micronus Prime/Cloudburst became Prima Prime/Splashdown.
The shark face is a little bit of a stretch, and I was a little sloppy with the teeth, but I think it turned out alright considering what I had to work with.
He's the one that took the longest. While most of this was done like a year and a half ago, we only recently got our 3d printer fixed back up and running, so I could print out the sword part. I was inspired by the cool looking sword that came with the original Splashdown.

Good job! That's pretty good! I wish we had gotten official shells for all of them, it would have made for an even better collection.

Indeed, one of the worst decisions Hasbro made. If anything give us Waverider for Amalgamous, and reveal the shells for Nexus, Prima and maybe Onyx!
