Forbes: Blurr voted fastest fictional car.

Weapon: Dual Laser Cannon
Forbes.com (of all sites) recently posted a list of fictional vehicles from movies, cartoons and other origins and placed rank on them based on their capabilities.

Topping the list is Transformers own Autobot Blurr,
Image
with a listed speed of 800 mph. Second place went to the Mach 5 of Speed Racer fame
Image
(both the cartoon and newly released movie) running at 258 mph and third and fourth places going to the Batmoblie from Batman Begins (Starring Christian Bale) and Dom's Charger from the Fast and the Furious (Vin Diesel) both clocking in at 220 mph.

ImageImage

A couple honorable mentions added to the list: Doc Brown's DeLorean
Image
from the Back to the Future Movies going up to 190 mph on the ground and and the man powered Flinstone mobile burning up the roads at 11 mph downhill.

Forbes, huh? Well, I guess that makes it respectable. ;)

BTW, you need to fix the image for the Mach 5. All I'm getting is a box with a red X.

But they didn't take into account the fact that the DeLorean trave;s at such speeds after hitting 88mph that it can travel through time.

We know that when you hit the speed of light, time slows down, so obviously the DeLorean passed the speed of light, by opening a wormhole that allowed them to pierce the veil of time and travel however they please.

FUN

But outside of his annoying voice, and that one scene in the movie when he was in bot mode, I never saw him drive real fast.

QFT! It was mainly Blurr's mouth that was moving at the speed of sound!

That Blurr screen capture has a Sci-Fi channel watermark! Awesome! Those were good times when they reran G1.

Ha. I guess it's kind of silly that I'm more excited about a watermark than some crap on Forbes.

I saw the new SR movie, and even though I hated every second of it, I coulda sworn they gave some 3 or 4 hundred mph league figure at some point in the movie. Like, the announcer said he was going X speed, and X speed was noticeably higher than 258 mph. Not to nitpick over a fictional list, but I think Forbes may not have checked their sources properly.
Weren't there other TF's that were cited in their comic bios as going faster than some of the cars listed here?

Two words: Flux Capacitor. 88 MPH is hardly the speed of light, it was the flux capacitor that made time travel possible.

Yes, 88mph is hardly the speed of light.

However, 88mph was only a requirement in order for the Flux Capacitor to work.

Once it hits 88mph the flux capacitor along with help from whichever radioactive substance they needed, plutonium or something, I forget, to generate the necessary 1.21 gigawatts for time travel to be possible.

What this, in totally armchair theory, does, is allow the Flux Capacitor to turn the stainless steel of the DeLorean into a giant superconductor.

This causes a door in the fabric of space/time to open, that which the DeLorean can travel through, and then go to any point in time.

Causing a door such as this to open, is only possible through one way. Speed, the Flash has been able to travel into the future, and I believe back, due to his speed and the connection to the Speed Force.

Wormholes, in Stargate, due to a solar-flare hitting at just the right time in the wormholes travel, causes SG-1 to travel to the past, then again to the future.

Then in numerous Star Trek episodes, and movies, travel through time has happened.

Now, this is essentially what the DeLorean/Flux Capacitor does. It opens up a wormhole, which could allow the DeLorean to travel through space in fractions of the time that it would take current technology, in order to travel that distance in time like that, you'd be going much, much, much faster than the speed of light. A wormhole causes this to happen, the only difference would be, that instead of traveling to a different place, the DeLorean is traveling to a different point in time, most likely due to the supercharged stainless steel of the DeLorean itself. Which could disrupt the wormhole enough for time travel to be possible.

Blurr. Kinda depends on if it's G1 Blurr or the retool of Armada Blurr that appeared in the Cybertron line. But assuming you mean G1 Blurr, he'd win.

My vote for the HOF goes to my favorite Transformer, Kup, to the Headmasters (who still need new figures that aren't just the characters without their master components) and to seibertron.com for for being the ultimate TF resource.

The race does not always go to the swift. The ability to take corners is generally pretty important.

The Biffs remind me a lot of the O'Doyle's in Billy Madison. Destiny did not look favorably upon the family, and neither apparently does the director.

But anyway Blurr rules, and he would whoop NitroConvoy in a race.

P.S. A Transformer that changes into a V8 intercepto would be cool.

But "Speed" is not always a nessesety for time travel in the Star Trek universe. And wormholes have been known to have tempral displacement factors....meaning one end a wormhole can exsist in one time frame while the other end is in a different time frame.
