I find it offensive that Hasbro is profiting off of creating a false image of Primus, yet there is little I can do about it, as The Church of the United Nation of Cybertron is yet to be legally recognised.

I also find those BW battle mask faces to be ugly.

(one of the above statements is almost 100% true)
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

I just dremeled off Primal's fugly as hell mask. Megatron's is next. I will probably fill the little gaps in with apoxy sculpt, then paint over them. Any advice what kind of paint I should use?

I choose statement A to be true! =O

Least I'm not the only one who..N/m this will turn into a debate we dont need.

I only have Cheetor (did have Taurantulas years ago til we moved) and I saw his head turned upside down and some head showed, thought it was for looks and not a fugly mask.

I think the actual Battle mask faces were a mistake, and should have been removed from the molds..

No wonder I almost never leave HMWGD any more, ya'll take everything too seriously and are wat too touchy.
The opinions expressed in this post are well-reasoned and insightful.
Needless to say, they are not those of SEIBERTRON.COM, its staff members, or any other site lackeys.
Anyone who says otherwise is itching for a fight.

You mean Wolfang, a.k.a. JLenotron?

And yeah, most of the mutant heads are useless, yet easy to remove. I always found it interesting that most of the Predacons ended up with their mutant heads in their CGI models though.

I've been thinking. If it wasn't for alternate faces, we wouldn't have had Blackarachnia?

Boldfang Wolfang K-9...
There is too many of that mould. :(

i'm just glad that the 10th Anniversary Primal/Megatron reissue had their battle masks removed...prime just looked bugly with that alien-insectoid face mask thingy he came with in the original release.
all the comments above are the HUMBLE OPINIONS of the said user only. 'nuff sed.

I never understood the hate for the battle masks, they are no more hideous than the insect faces that the Decepticons got in the movie...

Although I must admit that I am glad that the masks never made it into the show. But it does add something extra to the toys.

Actually, some characters' heads in BW are based on the toy's mutant/battle heads. One example is Waspinator.
