The borg are the best villians from Star Trek and are almost unstoppable but I think the transformers would own them!!

Hmmm depends. If the Borg have enough time to adapt then nothing short of unicron will stop them eventually assimlating the TF's.

Matrix Schmatrix! That only works on Unicron and Hate Plagues. Provided we are talking about TNG Borgs and not those cowardly wimps from Voyager, I go for the Borg. There's alot more of them and they could just scoop up entire tf installations from space and assimallate them at will.

However, if it's Voyager incarnation of Borgs, then please let the tf wipe them out. Completely.

Actually if you had seen Startrek First Contact then you would know that to try to assimalate a robotic life form is almost impossible for the borg to do so. You find this out when the Borg attempt to assimulate Data they were unable to do so and going back even further during the STNG season Datas brother Lore was never assimulated by the Borg either in fact Lore controlled a small contingent from the Borg. So now that we are aware of these facts its pretty safe to assume that the Generation One Transformers would completely pawn the Borg. Far more massive and Powerfull.

:-? unless they try to assimilate the TF masters and there masters tech.

A par of powermasters, targetmasters and a headmaster for each TF they take down with a functional frame. Followed by a mass production model of there own design. They don't need to have the TF's spark work with them if they could just assimulate the tech from one of each type of master force.

Could the Borg assimulate TF technology?

The Borg Queen didn't want to make Data a simple drone, which would have been the result of a complete assimilation, but more of an equal counterpart. As for Lore, the group of Borg he encountered had been cut off from the Collective, so that had nothing to assimilate him into.

The Borg would win, but taking Cybertron would be a pretty massive battle.

Well, if you consider the fact that a single Borg Cube can destroy dozens of Federation starships and keep going, I would say that a Borg fleet would make short work of the Transformers. The Borg would quickly adapt to the TFs weapons, remodulate their shield s accordingly, and then law waste to them. This is assuming that the Borg dont transport down hundreds of thousands of drones either. And the Borg are capable of assimilkating enemy technology too

In short, nothing short of the Matrix is gonna do any good here

The Borg probably can. Strength has a limit, and even Metroplex can't keep going forever.

I vote for the Borg. They could easily destroy the G1 Transformers, unless Unicron was with them, seeing as he's G1.

And any day of the week too.

Really TF tech is way more advanced then what the borg have.

Just consider the timetravell and sizeshifting tech. The TF´s also have firepower beyond the scope of what the Borg can adapt to (like species 8472).

Besides, Borg 'adaptation' is severely overrated. Notice that they have no defense at all against physical attacks and projectile weapons? (Hell, Picard absolutely slaughters them in First Contact with a HOLOGRAPHIC machine gun!)

Transformers. all the way.

One big detonation of Matter and Anti-Matter. Plus the borg have a fleet over a billion strong.

But in retrospect, I do change my answer to the Transformers.

Umm, youve obviously never seen First Contact, or Star Trek IV, time travel isnt really that hard. And besides Transformer weaponry isnt as advanced as Borg technology. They have a bunch of lasers, big deal. Also G1 transformers have notoriously bad aim and probably couldnt hit the broad side of a cube

2 things:

1: Why did the Borg never use timetravel after First Contact again?

2: You've obviously never read the comics.

They don't have to have good aim. There's bound to be fallout from the explosions their weapons cause. Plus we have no idea how the Borg can handle the effects of energon rediation.

A) It failed the first time, and if they did do it again it would be a reused plot line and that would be boring and we'd have Star Trek TimeForce or some crap like that.

B) I havent read the comics in a long time, so I will Graciously bow out to that.

As to Energon Radiation, I can't say on that one. Even if they were to succumb to it they would attack unhindered. The Borg control a large region of space, tech accumulated from countless worlds, trillions of drones, and a massive space force to unleash.

As Q once said, "...they are relentless."
