I have a problem with Skywarp and Thundercracker. Which color scheme goes with who? Is Skywarp the blue one? Is Thundercracker purple and black?
As to Rumble and Frenzy, I'm not even going to slagging TRY...

Skywarp is black and purple, while Thundercracker is blue. Although there have been miscolors and variants in the comics this is their offical colorings.
As for Rumble and Frenzy (sparking a debate in the process): only the G1 cartoon had Rumble being blue and Frenzy being black and red. Their toys and comic book appearneces (every comic book appearence in every company in fact) had Frenzy as the blue one and Rumble as the black and red one. Although most cling to the cartoon miscolorings.

I was quite shocking to find out after all these years Rumble was red! I go by the 'toon, just because.
My biggest shock on returning to the fandom was that Ultra Magnus is a white prime!

His G1 toy's cab is a white Prime, and it had 2 fists that fit it in addition to the two that fit the armor. His gun had two pegs on it in fact. The larger one fit the large fists and if you turned it upside down the smaller peg fits the small hands. Also there's a commercial for Scramble City toys (thought lost but it's on the 20th Anniverys TFTM dvd as a bonus feature and I think on this site in the media) that showed him transform into a White Optimus before the armour was applied.

During the Dreamwave comics run they showed Ultra Magnus to be a white color swap of Prime with an exoskeleton armor.

Yes and it's become common knowledge now. The reason they made him like that is the same reason I previously stated.

*Sigh*
Rumble is purple...Frenzy is Red. Watch the second pilot episode if you don't believe me.
As far as I'm concerned Skywarp was alwasy the blue one (why? Sky=blue.) and Thundercracker was the purple and black.

How was this not common knowledge always? He always was a white prime toy. It wasn't a secret. I guess there were a lot of fans who only saw the TV show.
Here is that commercial from Scramble City:

You can see him as a small white robot flying in the lower right corner of the year 3 box art.

That would have made sense though!

I think thats probably the reason Hasbro switched their names/colour schemes. Cant have logic and things making sense!

It was never an issue of "OMG WHICH ONE IS WHICH?"
I alwasy knew. It's strange when people seem to find ways to induce contraversy and such into the fan base (like that thing w/ 'did starscream shoot at megatron in the movie' business. People reading too far into things that aren't there).
