HASBROTOYSHOP.com one item per order?
i tried ordering 3pcs of TFTM VC ironhide for christmas presents, so i placed 3 pcs under quantity, as i was about to check out my cart it said i exceeded the max item number. i could only order 1 pc! is this an anti hoarder move by hasbrotoyshop? has it always been like this for the site? i usually order from amazon and walmart..

that's new... it is probably an anti-scalper precaution. they don't people buying up all the tickle-me-elmos and my little ponys and putting them up on ebay, i guess.

Thanks, Tweezy

Yep. They have determined that the average consumer should only have one of each item. Furthermore, if you tried to place three separate orders they might cancel all of your orders and flag your account as a reseller. Then you will have a hard time ordering even one of anything.
They did this to me when I tried to order a few sets of exclusive Star Wars figures. I went back and forth with customer service because after they canceled all of my repeat orders they would not even let me order one.
A few weeks later, when I tried to order just one SDCC Menasor, my order never arrived so I called them. They said my order was internally cancelled (without notice to me) and gave me the number to call their business partner division. Because of the flag on my account, I could only order as if I was a retail store wanting to buy a range of Hasbro products in huge quantities!
I eventually had to setup a new account under a different cc number just to order from Hasbro Toy Shop again. Because of this, I order from them as infrequently as possible.

One of the reason this has happened is because of the 08 bumblebee problems.

It's interesting though... the last few waves of BB were all snapped up by scalpers... you have to wonder as to how they can still make any money. They're probably hoarding like 30 or 50 now... that's a lot of stock to move even if they manage to sell them all eventually.
Plus prices on Ebay are coming down with increase in supply... what's still in it for them? My feeling is it could be new scalpers jumping on the bandwagon, or it may just be the scarcity principle working on the general populace. They had a damn hard time finding it, now they see a few, they instinctively buy a few. They might not even have any intention of selling any.
Would be intersting to see how many more waves of BB09 must come before the supply actually fills the shelves where it's easy to buy them.

What is still in it for them is money. Even if they scoop up all of the BB's in your area and sell them for as low as $15 on ebay, that is $5 bucks above retail of pure profit. Also Bumblebee was one of the most popular characters in the movie, especially in his '09 Camaro alt mode so that has more people looking for BB than the rest of the figures. To answer your last question, there would have to be a pretty large shipment of '09 BBs so that all of the stores in all of the areas have him. I don't think Hasbro would take that gamble and flood the market with '09 BBs. You should see some available for X-mas shopping but after that he will probably be hard to find.

Hs, if that's the case whatever else I might think of these dregs I must give them credit for patience... plus envy their obvious abundance of storage space!
