How do i beat Starsream in Antartica?
Hi, i just got the video game from 2004 and am having an impossible time fighting Starscream. I think i am missing some important mini-con or something. Do i need one that helps me fly or something (i saw a flying autobot in the advertisment for the game) because i can only get him down to half power at best.
Thanks!
Thanks!

The Limpet mine minicon is the way to go if you have trouble hitting him when he attacks you in Jet mode. It fires fast, so you can stick him a whole bunch before he transforms, and some of them will go off after he transforms to jet mode, knocking him to the ground and forcing him to come after you in bot mode again.

I didn't have a lot of trouble with Starscream . . .
try using a heavy blaster, some missiles, and I can't recall if the health reginerator Mini-con is there or not, but if you've got it, use it.
I think I mostly stood around and shot at him. Remember that combining Mini-cons of the same color improves your armor.

It's one of the hardest first because it's before you really get any good Minicons. I use homing missiles, one of the blasters, dash, and I think the sheild one to have a combo. Stay put when he's flying around in jet mode and keep your crosshairs on him when he turns toward ou to strafe you with his missiles move to the side and boost while unloading you missiles. If you hit him right he'll crash into the ground, when this happens back up while letting him have it with your blaster. When he gets up, put your shield up to protect you from his laser fire and keep moving back, unload any missiles you have regenerated and keep blasting at his with your blaster. When he dashes at you with his sword dash out of the way and lower your shield to let it regenerate some.
If you lose track of him in jet mode and hear him let loose missiles, transform quickly and move out.
Once you get the Limpet mines use it for every boss except Tidal Wave. They pack a good punch, but unlike the heavy missiles the bosses can't block them.

I thought you couldn't get the health regeneration until further on. Or is that the resurrection one I'm thinking of?
Anyhoo, I used the shield, lightening gun (go around the outside of the facility and approach the hanger from where the plane is to get it before triggering Starscream). I also use grenades and armour. Keep firing the blaster at SS, even when he transforms because he stays in one spot when he does and you can get some cheap shots in
. When he strafes you, run sideways and unleash the gun and all the grenades at him. You'll eventually wear him down. When he comes at you with his (unblockable and painful) sword, I find the best thing to do is to transform and drive away quickly. Eventually, he'll get bored and transform back to jet mode.
P.S. IMO Starscream has the best transformation of the game. He's the only one with an in game transformation who actually looks like he's transforming instead of 'flipping' (for lack of a better wod)from one mode to the other.
