How do I protect my MISB Jetfire?
Hey Chaps,
Okay, so I'm going to be moving in a few months and I want to protect my beloved transformers.
Thankfully I only own three figures which have the classic box 'flap' on them so it's not a major issue, well apart from my Jetfire.
I thought that I could created a mini box to place against the flap and then bubble-wrap the entire thing, but I'd appreciate your views on it.
Cheers,

My Jetfire is indeed my 'precious'. Still my options so far are hiring the A-Team or perhaps enlisting support from the Knights who say 'Ni'.

Keep them away from sunlight or heat. Especially away from the kitchen. That way they don't turn into jetyellow. Don't want to be calling them that afterwards either. Save the boxes to protect the toys. Don't go transforming him too much either.

Cheers for the suggestion.
So far none of my figures are on display so they've all been stored safely - away from sunlight, moisture or heat and I intend to keep them that way.
I just want to make sure that the 'flap' on the box doesn't get damanged in transport. The rest of my figures are fine as they're all boxes and have been carefully bubblewrapped.

Don't bother making a box, just roll some bubble wrap up to fill in the gap and then wrap the bubble wrap around that.

How do I protect my MISB Jetfire?
Very friggin' carefully..
personally, i would get two large pillows, stuff him in there, duct tape that till nothing shows, get a shock proof case, handcuff that to my wrist, and then walk with a big stick.

I guess bubble wrap is good as a defense against bumps. Just make sure you store him flat. I would suggest a slim rubbermaid/ hard plastic container, with a nice bath towel, or large hand towel to line the bottom of it. Then place your wrapped Jetfire right on top. I wouldn't put anything on top of him.

The A-Team is too busy filming an episode with Most Haunted. I hear David Hasselhoff isn't doing much these days though. Maybe he can reunite with his Knight Rider car or at least one of the Baywatch babes.

Hmm, not many rich pickings. I might have to get in the original cast of Power Rangers to help me out. They'd appreciate the work - it'd give them the chance to dust off their Zords too..

Thanks for the suggestions. It looks like I'll store my remaining figures in one large box with Jetfire carefully placed on top with lots of protection. This figure was my grail so I'm sure you can appreciate my worries transporting the guy.

If you really want, my parents have a vault in their country house. I could take it off your hands for a while. If, you know, you really want.

Would you provide a shrine for him - and a fluffy pillow? Jetfire likes being treated well!

He can have a chaise long with my mother's velvet cushions if he really wants.
And a laser tripwire, just because they're super.

Odd bubble wrap related fact: when I was section manager at HMV, we had to stop ordering bubble wrap with big bubbles because it was apparently too expensive. So we had to order small-bubbled wrap instead.
