How playable is Longarm?

Postby Raymond101 » Thu Sep 06, 2007 10:41 pm

He sounds pretty cool, especially since he's a drone, but his profile makes him like a proper Transformer character. I dig that. But how playable is he? So far most of the movie characters aren't.

So he's got a firing projectile? That's all I know. I heard of him being able to tow other figures in vehicle mode but I need some elaboration on that.

He is actually one of my fav figures from the Deluxe stand point. His Alt mode isn't the best (or attractive) but his Bot mode has so much charatcer. I really like the head sculpt they gave him (pretty mean looking for a Autobot), and the sheer poseability of the figure is amazing. I have him crouching a bit with his body slightly turned and his rocker laucher raised up over his shoulder.

Give him a shot... i think you wont be disapointed.

Oh he's highly recommended. One of the best Deluxe Class figures of the entire line. I kid you not.

It's a great fig, robot-mode and alt-mode. The weapon is screwed onto the hand though. But he has lots of articulation. His waist and chest are movable.

Super cool! really recommended. He's pretty big for a deluxe, well wide that is. I think he's the best nonmovie character of all in my opinion. I actualy like him better then my arcee

He should be out already if you're in Aus. at the moment, although he can be a bit hard to find. Try TRU or DJs but he should be everywhere soon.

Great thing is if you don't want the gun permanently attached, there's only one screw to remove and BAM! He's ambidextrous - unlike, say, 2-Pack Classic Megs, there's actually a HAND there.

And his overall look and color scheme, not to mention poseability (He has a waist pivot that's actually a partial ball joint!), look awesome next to Classics Mirage.

I'd like to buy him, but I just can't get past the gun screwed onto his arm.

Plus I haven't seen him in stores since mid-August.

Now Dropkick, that's a kickass figure I want.

I've been reading reviews and whatnot at other TF sites and apparently the detail in its robot mode rivals that of Concept BB.

Considering I couldn't keep my eyes off BB the day I bought and subseqeuently displayed it, that's amazing.

Sweet. I'm just wondering if it is playable. Also his vehicle mode looks a bit.. uninspiring. :( But Longarm looks cool. His bright colours could fit him in the Unicron trilogy series.

Longarm is a pretty cool figure. Posing him with that gun hoisted up on his shoulder is where it's at!

What's cool about dropkick you ask? Basically everything except his weapon kibble ... which is a tonneau cover/ass claw. It works well in alt mode, but I think it's completely useless in bot mode. He does have built in arm cannons ... which are really cool!

His transformation process is very fun as well. Not "easy" by any means.

His paint apps are intuitive, but the gray plastic could be more silvery. Gotta love that huge decepticon symbol. 8)

Anyway, for a deluxe ... he's just about as fun as concept BB IMHO.

I recommend Longarm, but the gun needs to be removed after you get him. It is just one screw, and it is not even needed really, because the gun will still peg into his left hand, and it will still hold well after transformation.

Dropkick is sheer badassery, except for the stupid claw weapon.
I told the fire to go **** itself, and it did.

MISP preferred, but will consider opened NM/Complete, especially for older figures. Lots of TFs for trade! Please PM any inquiries, serious interest only!
