Out of curiosity, though, I've never seriously considered owning a Fort Max due to its price, so I've never paid much attention to Brave Max--is that the RID version? Same figure, lower price?

Congratulations! I also would like to know if thats the RID version or a G1 Brave Maximus. If Hasbro had released an American version of RID Brave Maximus I would have so bought it. :grin:

There is no G1 Brave Maximus. Only USA and Japan Fort Max. Brave Max is either the Japanese or Korean version.

It is different in a way that:

a. different paint apps as opposed to labels
b. no weapons except the separately sold Master Sword
