Pyramitus wrote:I wish that a different company such as Jakks Pacific made the transformers figures. I collect wrestling figures so I know how they operate. They poll their fans and ask them what figures they want made, and then they make them. Im pretty sure that they would continue to produce the classic line. It seems like Hasbro dosnt really care what the fans think.
Immortal Starscream wrote:with the exeption of aproving movie starscream and megatron, this last year hasbro has done us fans right. the fact is there is a huge demand for alt and classics, hasbro knows this, and knows that can make more money off of it. but while the movie is out, with every other transformers licenced product thats going to be out, it could very well be overkill, and thus lost money, and an end to those lines we want so much.
hasbbro does some stupid stupid things, this is true, but thats because theyre after that ever loving dollar.
now of course, takaras designs and paints are usualy so much better. now if only takara could get a handle on quality controll.

I shouldn't leave the question mark because I’m pretty confident that’s the case. All I can say is that if our nation didn’t make petty and frivolous lawsuits such a past-time recreation that, hell, maybe we’d have them too.
Rant aside, how old are you? 12? 14? It absolutely amazes me the amount of people who bitch so much about Hasbro and yet have NO idea that had it not been for Hasbro that we would not have had Transformers at all! Takara had a concept yes, but that concept was very Gundam-like; that they wanted the robots to be machinary controlled by human drivers. Hasbro on the other hand wanted & felt strongly that the robots themselves could be the stars and characters with their own personalities and so did away w/ the human controllers all together.
Next time you think to complain do try and think about that.

Why should Hasbro care about the fans? TF Fans make a tiny minority of buyers for Transformers, the real money comes from harassed parents.
Personally I think that the fans in recent years have had a lot to thank Hasbro for. Gen 1 re-issues, the Alternator line and now the Classics.
If it wasn't for Hasbro I wouldn't be part of this community.

And fragile, non-poseable statues. And only carried in specialty and comic book stores that charge a premium for each one. And chock-full of shortpacked figures. And with various repaints within the same year of the original's release. Do I have to go on? I don't really want to. Please don't make me, I'll be a good boy, I swear.
