Never gonna happen.
I didn't mind Beast Machines (except for the massive suckage that was the ending) but don't particulary like Animated.

I'm sure you're aware that my comment was self-consciously parodying in nature.

I cant honestly beleive that slytf and capt failure are actually arguing that movie lovers are oppressed, attacked and
I have tried to debate the merits of the movies on a rational, reasonable, logical level, without resorting to personalised insults or wide ranging stereotyping
in return they have responded as follows:
- called me a troll (because i disagreed with their opinion)
- Called me a liar
- Ranted angrily about a point i never even made
- Called me a bullsh1ter and a spoofer
- misquoted and misintepreted points i made to fit their argument
- refuted my argument by saying, essentially, because i said so.
So when they come on here and say that the majority of movie dislikers are reactionary and offensive, i take it with a pinch of salt and believe they should look at their houses.
As for being scared that a movie wont be as good as the previous two, no i nownt be , because i am an adult with a life, and it will pass off me like water off a ducks back.

Unless Uwe Boll directs the rest, I think we're safe.
Plus Steven Spielberg is producer of the films, when Bay leaves maybe he'll move up to the director chair, and Spielberg said he is fan of the comics and toys, so YAY (hopefully).

Considering the last few summer blockbusters Spielberg made if I saw his name on the director's chair then yes, I'd be pretty damn scared. We'd probably have a young girl kill a Decepticon with gymnastics or have another kid appear to die in a fiery explosion only for him to show up at the end having survived due to the power of plot.
Seriously, Spielberg should stick to producing these kinds of films. He's lost his ability to direct them.

Mine? Has anyone else on this forum been so loud about they're opinion of the movies? Go check out any thread in which the movies are criticized and one or all three will be there going crazy.
This thread is about Sly claiming they had a nightmare in which the movie was not to his "standard", like ROTF apparently was. They then go into a rage when people point out obvious flaws, think of reasons that are not supported but unfalsifiable and insult those that don't believe their arguments and declare people who disagree with them trolls. Evil_the_Nub, nor Capt. Failure, nor Sly can declare someone a troll for not immediately sitting back and loving their opinions. This forum seems to have actually loss the meaning of troll and instead thinks it means "person who does not sit back and accept untrue statements made by a single person in multiple threads".
Evidence is right there.
Besides, like I said, I've actually discovered that arguing with them is horribly useless. They're arguments ARE all unfalsifiable and therefore impossible to debate by nature. You can't prove or disprove anything they say.

There's been much louder over the years. There was a time you couldn't have a thread in the movie forum without one particular person jumping up and down bitching and moaning.
And I don't see the problem with what they're doing, as long as they keep it within the rules of the forum (and if people are curious, Sly's been warned about his language many times).
But what annoys me the most is your attitude towards them. You make them sound like what they're doing is bad, that they're the worst, but you seem to completely overlook all the negative comments that populate the movie forum.
Trust me, since 2009, their positivity is a small drop in the ocean of negative comments that have populated this sub-forum.
And I still don't see a problem with them defending the movies.

I do see where you're coming from, but in this case it could very well be considered a trolling post since it doesn't contribute or relate to the thread or any ongoing conversation. That's not to say the actual intent to troll is there of course... Shamone might be legitimately frustrated as anyone participating in these threads could be. Heaven knows there have been times I've just wanted to rip into some people for their strawman arguments and other assorted foibles.
It's just a matter of knowing when it's appropriate and when it's not, I guess.

Who needs pitchforks? We haters will march into battle with weapons reclaimed from junked G1 figures, as our fathers and our father's fathers did before us! It is our BIRTHRIGHT! You KNOW how deadly the strength of those springs were before Hasbro nerfed them for safety post-G1! We'll definitely poke a few of your eyes out if we can find the missiles that ended up behind the couch somewhere! So WATCH OUT! Those child-unsafe plastic tips are definitely more than meets the eye! You'll never watch those abominations of movies ever again if you no longer have the windows to your wretched SOULS!

Really? It's another brawl and I show up four days and 12 pages late? How did this one slip past me? It's like you start watching a show from the beginning, and you want to talk about it with everyone, but they're all already caught up, they don't want to talk about season 1, because season 5 just ended on a massive cliffhanger. So, I'll just address a few points bit by bit:
-I have a recurring nightmare where my teeth fall out of my head. This is what sane people have bad dreams about.
-Plot Hole, TF Wiki has a few, but here's a new one I just read about: near the end, Simmons contacts the USS John C. Stennis Aircraft Carrier. The problem? That was the Carrier the Decepticons had destroyed when they came to Earth earlier in the movie.
-This "war' has been going on since before the first movie was released. Neither side is in the right but neither side has grasped that part yet. The Lovers think they're some sect persecuted by the Haters, but are often the first on the scene to argue against anyone who criticizes the movies.

Lemme go through the list.
Most of the NEST and American soldiers are seen using small-caliber arms such as assault rifles, machine guns and sniper rifles against the Decepticons, despite the previous film establishing that "high-heat" sabot rounds were the only means of penetrating Decepticon armour. Even if they somehow figured out how to make small caliber ammunition achieve the "high heat" required to damage Decepticon armour, it is extremely unlikely that such low-powered weapons would do any meaningful damage that warrants such widespread usage. After all, in real life, you can't kill a tank with a machine gun, well, unless you're in G.I. Joe.
The guns looked highly modified, probably to fire bullets designed for penetrating Transformer armor. Not a plot hole. Lack of observation on the person who wrote the article.
The notion that a big metal box (containing a complex electronic mechanism shouting to be released) would ever make it through airport luggage screening is a bit on the implausible side. The novelization of the film attributes this to Mikaela's Epic Hotness distracting the guard into just letting her through; she also claims that the box contains expensive mechanic's tools which might look strange in an x-ray. Neither explanation is present in the film itself, however.
Humorous moment. Not a plot hole.
When Alice attacks Sam and his friends, the box Wheelie is imprisoned within is taken along, but the box is not seen when Mikela and Leo escape from the foundry in Bumblebee (the box should still be inside the wreckage of the car Mikaela hotwired at the college).
I'll give them that one.
Given the Autobots are part of NEST and are dependent on the US Air Force for transportation around the world, it is not clear why Major Lennox had to be alerted to the fact the Autobots were on the east coast of the United States. Do the Autobot normally go on unexplained joyrides?
The Autobots aren't prisoners either. As long as they stay hidden I couldn't see them not being allowed off base. Not a plot hole.
Tasers do not cause those tased to go into convulsions.
Technical goof with a weapon. Hardly abnormal in any film. Not a plot hole.
Where does Mikaela get the padding and gauze to bandage up Sam's hand?
I almost gave them this one, but I wouldn't doubt that they'd maybe brought a first aid kit along on their little raid of the Smithsonian. Logical analasys wins out. Not a plot hole.
When Jetfire teleports to Egypt, Wheelie is seen landing by him, but disappears until the group reaches the border guards. After they arrive at the pyramids, Wheelie is seen rolling in with the quartet of humans, but is never seen again.
I've given Wheelie's dissapearence at this point in the film some thought compared to other "Minicons" that show up in the films (Ravage, Frenzy, etc) and I'm going to make an educated guess. Wheelie is housed inside Bumblebee's superstructure much like Scorpinok was inside Blackout, or Frenzy inside Barricade. He shows up in DotM, so it's not like he died or dissapeared entirely. Plot hole status: negatory.
There's no rational reason for Simmons to climb the pyramid after Devastator. It looks like he's enabling the Navy ship to "fire on his position", which is useful when the firer can't see the target. However, as we find out just before the railgun is fired, the ship can see the pyramid. (And railguns are line-of-sight weapons, anyway.) So, Simmons didn't need to climb; he could have stayed someplace safe, called the ship, and told them, "Take a look at the pyramid, and shoot the giant robot tearing it up." It's also hard to believe he wasn't crushed by the flood of pyramid stones, which at one point are raining down on all four sides of the structure.
This one's the worst of the bunch. Simmons doing all that is totally in character as someone desperate to get back into and stay in the action. Did he need to do all that? Probably not. But then again, this is Simmons we're talking about. Also there is such a thing as getting lucky and not having the debris fall on your head. Again...not a plot hole.
Out of eight listed plot holes, only one stands up under scrutiny. The article fails in this regard.
As for the aircraft carrier I'll watch the film again and update on that. Even if they're the same aircraft carrier in terms of ship used for the sets (it's expensive to rent those things), that doesn't make them the same ship in terms of the film's events.
Note: The geographical errors will not be counted. Films do this all the time and don't catch flak for it. Using them as "plot hole ammo" is making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Sorry to double post but I figure I'd point this out. Quoting the article.
That's not a plot hole either, that is exactly what I said it was. The same ship filling the role of multiple sets on the film. Again, aircraft carriers aren't cheap to rent out for a film.
When the U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt is sunk by Decepticon transition forms, its hull number of 71 can be seen on the bridge island. However, when it sinks, a hull number of 74 can clearly be seen on the bow of the landing deck. CVN-74 belongs to the U.S.S. John C. Stennis, a carrier that shows up later in the film and was also the carrier used for filming.

Except when it was sinking it was a CGI model, not an actual ship. So someone intentionally put the hull number of the Stennis on the side of it.
EDIT: Here's a question that's been bugging me since the movie was released: Why would the US military call the Jordanian military to come across Israel and into Egypt?
And there's also Simmons saying the closest Seeker is in Washington, even though Wheelie wasn't pointing at Washington. That's like showing a picture of California and calling it Michigan.
