or does anyone else open up they're figures, play with them, display them for a few days, and then put them back in their packaging nicely and then display them in box thereafter?

I admit that I usually buy two of any particular figure I plan to repaint and show off... which is a considerable amount. ^_^;;; I've collected and played with lots so I don't worry about tossing the box. I don't really plan on reselling my stuff anyway. hehe

Don't listen to everyone here. It's not just you.

I've taken my TFC stuff out of the box. Transformed them, stared at them, played with them, and then put those guys right back in the packaging. It's real easy with that packaging so why not keep them clean and dust free.

I dust my 140 bots every 2 months with a cheapass kids'
watercolor brush .. No wai they'd stay in box.=)

I did practically rebuild and reprosticker all the G1s...

Water and soap really did wonders to 15 years of crap
that yer fingers emit. May have to do it again in 2017.

Put people polish their silvers and other valuables now and then too.. why not TFs? =)

Can we start a rule stating that thread titles must include what the topic is actually about? I'm getting really sick of seeing threads titled "Can anyone...", "What is this?", "Something I noticed.", "I got it!" etc, etc. And I'm sure it's not just me.

Sorry, I'm feeling a little douchey today. :-P

On the topic: as you can see, there are others who do the same as you. I keep most of my figures out of the box unless I'm transporting them.

I concur... than again, I'm feeling a little douchey today too... but it's still irritating not knowing what the hell a thread is about based on the title...

On topic though, you're not alone... I have limited display space as well... so until I get that glass ikea case, I'll probably be storing most of my TFs in their boxes... easy to stack in the closet...

I do it only with packaging that allows it. Like Takara's. or the Commemorative Re-issues. They have boxes with Trays that can be pulled out, the figure can then be removed, transformed, and then placed back in the tray, and the box closed

Hasbro's bubble cards, and weird boxing gets tossed out, minus a few exceptions.

No no no no no! You silly billy, you're only meant to lick Dora the Explorer, and Thomas the Tank engine toys and other Mattel products. Licking Hasbro products does nothing! :P

I only put some of my Japanese figures back in their packaging to save space, the Jap boxes are so much nicer than the USA/European ones.

I take them out of the box, transform them, display them, transform them, display them, transform them, display them, transform them, display them, transform them, display them, transform them, display them, transform them, display them, transform them, display them, transform them, display them, transform them, display them,... uh, i'm running out of space. You get the idea. :P

But i don't put them back into the box. Unless we're moving. Or there's renovation work in the house.
