Seems like there haven't been any new figures at my local stores in weeks. Are there still going to be a lot of new figures or new waves between now and "the holidays"? Is this just the calm before the storm?

I'm also worried about my local Walmart, because they're overstocked on the current figs. The shelves are literally overflowing with Animated and Movie figures, many of which have been sitting there for months, and I'm worried that they won't stock any new figures as long as they have all these unsold figures filling up the shelves.

Well, it's the same thing here in Exton. TRU, Target and Walmart are filled with tons of Movie and Animated deluxes, and plenty of Universe Deluxes and above as well.

I have the same concern, but I think that a lot of it will start moving, as the deluxe price point usually sells well between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Just hoping for the best, and I plan on using that Walmart 7.77 price point to buy the gifts for all of my son's friends birthdays, that should free up a little space

Everything is selling quite well in my WalMart, except for that Animated Deluxe Wave 2. There are piles of Blackarachnias and Ratchets and they're not going anywhere. Otherwise, everything is selling, with the exception of a few Camshaft and Jungle BC leftovers.

Don't the Transformers 2 movie come out sometime in 2009? When that toyline come out, the shelves will be so flooded, who knows what the stores will do about all the Universe/Classics 2.0 & Animated figures they'll have left.

Off-topic: I've seen Universe/Classics 2.0 Galvatron yesterday for the first time outside of YouTube & he looks more impressive then I thought. I may get him soon.

I've got the same concerns for future release at my local WM. Right now the toy isle is bursting at the seems with TF's: TFA, TFU, TFM, the Legacy of BB set, the exclusives from a couple months back. Hopefully they will start to move, otherwise I'm afraid they may not get some the new stuff that will be coming out soon.

I think the movie is coming out in Summer 2009, so that's when I expect the toys to launch. What I'm wondering about right now is whether or not there will be any more waves of new figures between now and Christmas.

When Walmarts had the special display for the exclusive movie deluxes, they seemed to get tons of old Animated and Movie guys. I'm afraid I won't see anything new until all that crud which was moved to the normal TF area sells. That and I'm tired of looking at the same 4 Leader Bulkheads.

Be glad it's only four Leader Bulkheads and not 20+ like mine, plus another 20+ Megatrons and about 30 Roll out and Command Primes then all the old stuff. It is a mess there and they have gotten "new" stuff in, like the next wave of Universe, in the back. They wont put any out till the crap on the shelf moves, which puts me ordering online probably. I didn't see this much of a backwash of old product piling up, wasn't that way last year at all.

I know what you mean.I've had the same toys on shelves since mid august. All that's left is some Oil Slicks that have been there for forever, a few mixed wave voyagers, leader megs, supreme prime, and exactly 21 battle begins packs. yes. since mid august. Also, same universe and movie figs. Sigh, North Dakota kinda sucks.
