It's the "K-Pax" Discussion thread. Was he,a Alien from another planet or was he mentally sick?

But i'm swaying more towards,him being a alien from another planet. my key reason: one of the airline workers was shocked to see him appoear out of nowwhere in the beginning of the movie.
Here,below is a short list of why he might have been a alien from another planet. followed by another short list that say's he wasn't a alien from another planet.
List of reasons why he was a alien from another planet:
1- He appeared out of nowhere at the airport in the beggining of the movie. one of the airline workers was shocked to see him appoear out of nowwhere in the beginning of the movie.
2- he was able to talk to dogs.
3- he didn't appear to be mentally i'll. more like just delusional.
4-he was able to help mentally sick people at the home become sane again.
5- he knew where the alien planet was,he knew the rotation of the alien planet. he knew the diagram of the alien planer,the sun & nearby planet in the solar system.
6-when he got wet,it appeared the body he took over for a brief time,kinda woke up a bit.
7-when he went under the trance,he didn't reveal he was making believe to be a different persona. it appeared both the alien & the guy who's body got taken over were both answering the questions.
8- when he left,the body he possessed went back to it's original form & mind set.
9-that women who he promised a trip to the alien planet was missing at the end. I would think secure mental fascilities would be extremly hard to escape.
ARGUMENT AGAINST him not being a alien but just a Delusional person with a mental disorder:
1- He had a telescope as a kid,so could have been watching the star/planet,it's rotation & nearby suns/plents.
2- he was involved in a tramatic experience,I think a house burning fire. that he could have blanked out from his memory,along with the rest of his life. he could have created a Delusional world/state of mind to make him exist & cope with the situation.
3-when he was under the transce,he did reveal some of his mental disorders.
4-he didn't zap out to the home planet at the end of the movie. he stayed behind.
5- I suspose since this was a Mantally ill home,the women who got promised the trip to the alien planet. could have ran away or been kidnapped or hidden by the guy who pretended to be a alien.
6- For a so-called alien from another planet. he didn't present any alien type language to others in this movie. He claimed he knew english because he's been to the earth before. I don't think he spoke another other earth countries language beyond american. I would have thought,if it was easy for a alien to pick up & learn english so fast. then he would have been fluent in all the earth's different languages spoken.
