Hey, Jin, how would I go about making that sword for my LEADER Prime? It's the only Movie Prime I own. (That, and the fact that I prefer Leader Prime over Voyager Prime: more accurate transformation.)

Scratchbuilding flat things is pretty easy, here's what I would do.
Start with a template. Draw out the sword as long/curvy, etc as you want on some paper. Make it to scale.
Lay the front hatch of a CD case over top and trace it with an X-acto over and over again, scribing the sword out until you can punch it out of the clear plastic. Sand the edges and make it look all nice. This is the center part of the sword. Find a clear orange CD jewel case if you can like I did.
Now take the sword you just made and trace it on to a piece of styrene. Here you'll be making the silver side sections. Draw in metal side covering how you want it, then cut it out. Lay this down on the styrene and cut a duplicate.
Now sand those sections (watch out, they'll be thin) and make them look nice, gluing them on to the sides of your clear sword. use Apoxie sculpt or other modelling compound to fill in the gaps on the top and bottom of the sword where the edges of the panel are.
Bam, paint it and you're done! of course you still have to mod a way to attach the sword to the hand. But that's basically how you make something flat from scratch. Trace, cut out, retrace, cut sections from that.

Yes I remember saying I wouldn't make him but week after week I have all these emails asking me to! Also I haven't found the voyager megs to mess with. I modded Megatron's arms so the pods are detachable and gave him a completly scratch-built ball-joint neck, along with the basic repaint treatment. If you want further details, you have to click the link below the pic!

Here's what the neck joint looks like unattached:

Jin, I've been thinkin' about it, and the only way I reckon to fit the sword on without modding the figure would be to use the flip-gun. What do you think?

Finished my Ironhide today! He's all scuffed and down-on-the-range-lookin, heh. He has a new neck joint courtesy of a Gundam fig as usual. Makes all the difference in the world when he can look where he's aiming!

Pretty cool and detailed, but I'm not crazy about it. The eyes kinda throw me off, and that blue chest is suppose to be the front bumber of the car. But overall for detailing it's pretty cool.

It's nice that you repainted that bot. IMO all of the movie figs suck except Prime and Bumblebee no matter what you do to them.

You've requested him many times over, almost as much as the Leader Megs... you've languished over the figure in hand, wishing he could come alive and wreak havoc on your shelves....

The wait is over! I present Blackout, complete with magnetic removable wrist-mounted Gatling gun and EMP Disruptor, multi-position waist/chest minigun, retooled balljoint wrists, and I got rid of those gawd awful panels that stick up on the sides of his arms! Well, they're modded to the side at least. He's now a darker gray-blue and has been give the blackline treatment. I didn't want to dirty him up this time around because I wanted him to look like the PaveLow coptor pic I have at the bottom. The hardest thing about the paint job wasn't on Blackout, it was painting the little diagonal lines on mini-scorp's eyes and the turbine blades where there are none in his claws. Yeah, he's that detailed.
Here's a couple pics but for the rest, you'll have to go to my site!

It looks like the blue gun used with several robot master figures
I'm more curious about the minigun. That looks neat!
