You mean Bumblebee playing whip at 60 decibels does not make you smile?
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

I just think that he could be so much better. He is not detailed at all, and he has the annoying sounds that are way to loud. just dissapointing.

out of the "9 songs" advertised, that's the only one he plays!

Really? I only get Whip it on occasion, I get the country yokel one the most.
He is a loud fella, putting him in car mode on carpet is the best way to quieten him down.
Have you played with him much in alt mode? His range of torque/revs changes as you move him, and he brakes/crashes when he slows/stops. Personally that's my favourite of his gimmicks.
He is overpriced for what he is, but he's still great.
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

As was I, I was also expecting a harder transformation.
I was not expecting him to weigh half a tonne though.

I would have liked two real hands on him, instead of that stupid cannon, but the longer I have had him, the more he grows on me. He does not balance well. Glad I had most of the other ones before buying him cause I would have been pissed passing on others for him.

I wish his auto-fire gimmick was stronger, though it is enough to shoot about 50 cm sometimes.
Then again I was spoilt rotten with the Turbomasters as a child.

It is all personal preferance. People have different favorites. I like him, but I had prettymuch completed my movie collection by the time I bought him.

I really really wanted Ultimate Bumblebee, but after seeing the Hasbro/Transformers website where they show you how to transform him and such, he's suddenly not very appealing.
It really bothers me that you have to disconnect the door/wings from his back and they hang with a little cord. And the fact that you have to "pop" his arms out of the shoulders is just,.......that's not transforming. That's breaking a toy apart to put him back together in a new shape.
If I saw one for around the price of a Leader figure, I'd get it definetely, but at almost $100.US *More after taxes here* I don't see him as being worth it. Though I like that the lights are blue. The yellow lights on Leader Prime really bug the snot out of me.

Huh? It's no different than how DLX Dropkick or DLX Payload or DLX Brawl or Voyager Prime or Leader Prime or Leader Megatron get their arms into position.

I have Voyager Prime and Leader Prime and I don't have to dislocate thier arms to transform them.
However, I don't own Ult.Bee, I'm just going by what I saw here...

click on "Watch The Complete Robot To Camaro Instructions"
when he's a robot and the model goes to transform him to a car, if memory serves the first 2 things done were popping off the doors and arms.

Arms come from under the car and are on hinges. Ultimate BB is just using what could be seen as 2 giant pegs to lock on the shoulders. No different than all the figures I mentionned, they use a similar system at a smaller scale. I have all those toys. You do have to pull/swing/fold the arms/shoulders away from the torso on both Primes. Same with Ultimate BB, same with Dropkick, and so on.

He still transforms, it is certainly not a "dis-assemble" figure, you have to move and manipulate the shoulders to get his arms into position for either mode.
The transformation is just very basic, on par with Cybertron Supreme Starscream.
The doors and their plastic tubing were a poor move from Hasbro, but you don't really notice it in either mode all that much, it's only an issue during transformation.

I agree. Just got my UBB yesterday, opened it up immediately and played with the gimmicks. I will try to love it.
EDITED on 9/22/07 12:10pm PST: Just transformed it first time from bot to car mode, transformation was fairly simple, I think mostly due to larger scale.
CON: The front end and doors plastic parts don't lock each other nicely, leaving larger gaps and unaligned seams.
PRO: The gimmicks in car mode is totally different kind of fun. Reving of engine, braking/crashing sound effects, various radio play songs, honking & most importantly, beautiful front and rear lights.
Cheers!
