So i can imagine that real paint have a little extract of lead in it, many things might have it, but again we cant worry about everything, especially not if they say that the lead is in non-dangerous bits ... then we gotta trust em.

Lead paint is only gonna be dangerous if you actually lick it constantly. And you'd have to lick for quite a while to just get a headache.

I seriously doubt you can absorb lead through your skin. That's crap.

Yeah this has been talked about in a couple of other topics as well. Basicly our goverment has started to check most shipments coming in from china because of the lead paint problem. If it doesn't meet the standered whatever those are there shiped back to china.

Hmmm well ... i quess there is nothing dangerous for us collectors then, but for kids under 3 years it might be.

EDIT* I forgot to mention, i have a open scar on my hand atm, could i get any effects of getting close to any lead-paint until it is healed?

As long as you don't feed your little brother (or whatever) 3 square meals a day of optimash primes he'll be fine. With a TF toy, a kid would be in a lot more danger of choking on a small part than being affected by the trace amounts of lead in the paint.

You'll be fine As long as you don't ingest it in any quantity there is no ill effect.

The real concern with lead paint and toys is that the gub'ment has to assume that anything labeled as a "toy" will be handled by a person that is as likely to chew on it as play with it. They err to the side of caution. Any kid out of the toddler stage should be beyond chewing on toys, and even quite a few toddlers have broken the teething habit.

And then, even if a child was to chew on a lead laden toy, they would have to consume quite a bit of the paint to have any ill effect. Again, the gub'ment errs to the side of caution.

I wouldn't be concerned with anything TF related (even if you happen to have a Soundwave made entirely out of cast lead) since you are probably trying to keep your TFs out of the mitts of the smaller crowd anyway.

But if you have a kid in the house DO check the affected toy lists for anything marketed to babies and toddlers. These OFTEN end up as chew toys. While the chance for potential harm is still pretty slight it is not worth the risk.

Lead poisoning was often caused by lead pipes, lead solder in pipes or even further back Pewter plates, and other dishes. Acids, in food, ie, tomatoes, would leach the lead out and get into the food where it concentrated.

It was also in make up for women a few hundred years ago, particularily white makeup. It was supposed to make women look more beautiful.

I meant if you happened to have a toy made entirely of lead, that would actually be OK, as long as you didn't eat it. Don't worry your TFs are safe to play with.

Actually, now that I think about it, I used to have a bunch of toy soldiers that were cast lead figures when I was a kid. They were cool, I wonder what happened to them?

You should stop using a computer, Danish, it contains potentially lethal chemicals.
And be wary of your wallpapers (the ones on the wall, not the ones on the computer) and furniture, they are very likely to exude Formaldehyde which has been classified as source of cancer and which comes out of many things for a very long time. You are for more likely to have negative effects from the furnit your Tranformers are in or on than from the Transformers themselves
