looking for certain toys

Postby seansippo » Mon Jul 30, 2007 10:22 pm

I am looking for a old transfomer i once had as a child. the way i remember it is it was in the form of a b2 bomber. it had a smaller transformer that attached to the rear of it while it was in vehicle mode. i also had a round gun on the bottom of the plane while in vehicle mode that you would spin to launch the missle and hile in robot mode the gun would go over the toys shoulder. I am also looking for transformers that you need all the ones of a certain group that when you have them all you can attach them together t make a bigger robot. If anyone can help me on these please tell me.
thnx

Sounds like Generation 2 Dreadwing (blue bomber) with Smokescreen (small blue jet).

http://www.tfu.info/1994/Decepticon/Dreadwing/dreadwing.htm

Hope that helped!

Id agree with what he said. Great pair of jets them. There has been a couple of repaints too (RiD and the Japanese BWs (cant remember which)).

Third that opinion. Dreadwing. Most definitely. Love the turret cannon on him with all those lovely missles.

I think they answered your first question. However, your second question is too vauge. You are referring to a Gestalt: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transformers_technology

There were many Gestalts

Decipticons/Destrons
1) Devestator/Devestar(Constructicons)
2) Menasor(Stunitcons)
3) Bruticus(Combaticons)
4) Predaking
5) Abominus
6) Piranacon/King Poseidon(Seacons)
7) Monstructor/Dinoking(Pretender Monsters)

Autobots/Cybertrons
1) Superion(Arialbots)
2) Defensor(Protectobots)
3) Computron(Technobots)

Then there were the Micormaster Gestalts:

A/C
1) Sixbuilder
2) Sixliner
3) Sixtrain
4) Sixturbo
5) Sixwing

There were Re-issues, but they are recent.

I think that is everybody. However, to help you, we will need more info, type of vechicle and colours.

edit: There were more in Japan(after the US series ended), but I did not list them. However, they are on the link provided above.

dreadwing was definetly the guy i had as a child. As for the gestalt, I remember seeing one that was made out of a bunch of airplane transformers. If you could tell about any jet transfomer gestalts please do.

not one of my favorite gestalts as imho the gestalt mode looks like robo-feces, but superion...

G1 superion

there is also a brightly colored g2 version of it.

CLASSICS Jetfire is a must, and possible for you to still find at some stores, such as Toys R Us.

as tigertracks said. classics jetfire is a must, and can be had reletively enexpensivly.

If you are willing to spend a decent amount of money, try and get your hands on a g1 jetfire in good condition...beautiful figure.

I have a soft spot for the g1 seekers(starscream, skywarp, thundercracker, etc.) they dont look "the best" in robot mode, and completely lack articulation...but i like them none the less.

Seekers are some of my favorites! You can still find those re-issues online for decent prices, at least TRU Commemorative Dirge, Skywarp, and Thundercracker.

Hmmm... there have been at least three versions of that particular mold, the most recent was a Target exclusive, so it's probably not very cheap or readily available.

The G2 version may be easier to locate due to being G2, but I always thought this was probably the rarest of the three.

You might want to look at a BW Starscream and BB set...

Dreadwing is a rare species. I saw a Japanese version worth more than $40.

That prevented me from taking him home.
