I say cap is faking it, since in traditional Marvel lore, Cap (and his daughter) is one of the extremely few worthy enough of lifting Thor's Hammer.
What about the MCU makes you think "traditional Marvel lore" means anything here?
Al of it.

Nemesis Maximo wrote:My theater is 5 minutes away; it is a locally owned, historic 100 year old building; it has a stage and a curtain and has hosted live performances by the local public schools, as well as had Elvis back in the day. Last year through a kickstarter they raised over 100,000 to renovate, adding luxery seating and a brand new digital projector; they will be getting Avengers on opening day! But since I work in a restaurant, I don't get to enjoy weekends the way other people do.
**** having to work on the weekends.

Well, you're wrong. In "traditional Marvel lore" Hank Pym built Ultron, not Tony Stark. And Baron Strucker founded HYDRA, not Red Skull. Norman Osborn was the Iron Patriot, not Rhodey. The heroes themselves founded the Avengers, not SHIELD. Darren Cross died in his first fight with Scott Lang, he never became Yellowjacket. Daisy Johnson also wasn't an Inhuman, Nick Fury was a white guy who fought in WW2, etc. etc. etc.
MCU is a mish-mash of 616 and Ultimate Marvel, but taking a crapton of liberties all around. I'm very surprised you didn't notice that.
