O.k. I was just look at Minerva's photo gallery, and since I was never able to see the masterforce show and there is no bio on her I was wonder what her back store is. Also how much would a Minerva figure run someone and how rare is she.

I believe that in the show Minelba was a human female medic who formed the headmaster component of the non sentient trastector that shares the name. Same thing was done with the original headmasters in Japan except that they were Cybertronians rather than humans. Totally different take on the headmaster concept than what we got from Hasbro/Marvel/Sunbow. No idea what price she's going for recently but it'll probably be a fair whack (Japanese exclusive, first ever femme...).

ok, i'll try my best for her Masterforce backstory.

Minerva was one of the three Autobot Junior Headmasters, children who were chosen by Hawk (Metalhawk), the leader of the Autobot Pretenders (robots who assumed human guises or "shells") to pilot & manipulate Transtectors (essentially non-sentient Transformer bodies without heads/engine blocks) by combining with them either as their heads (Headmasters) or engine blocks (Powermasters/godmasters).

to combine, human head/power/godmasters would have to shout "head on!" (yeah, it's very nasty-sounding) or "god on!", and they would transform into robot heads or engine blocks and merge with their Transtectors to form a unified sentient entity.

now, Minerva acted as the Autobot's medic and rescue specialist, as well as acting as the team's conscience and voice of reason, but she was a sucker sometimes for sob stories and very gullible to say the least (as when she trusted Doublecross, who was essentially a Decepticon spy sent to infiltrate the Autobot base). but she always manages to see the good in people, no matter how obviously evil they can be.

So all the autobots aside from the pretenders were non-sentient Transformer bodies and the only way they could become sentient was to combine with a human.

I hate the idea of Masterforce. It's too much like other generic mecha shows and not enough like Transformers. The toys were great though(Overlord :mrgreen:

if we're talking about Autobots, yeah, aside from the Pretenders (Hawk, Diver, Lander and Phoenix) all of them were just Transtectors.unless you count Sixknight (a variation of Sixshot) in, as he was a sentient Transformer who first sided with the Destrons but later sided with the Cybertrons.

Well I went youtube checked out a little bit of masterforce and I have to say if the dub it english and put on cartoon network right now with anime being a popular as it they would have a hit on there hands.

yep, they had their own Pretenders and Head/godmasters also. though they had a weird alien-orblike thingy named, of all things, Devil Z (sounds like an engineering variable) for a leader.

Sixknoght was not a "variation of Sixshot" He was a variation of Quickswitch the autobot 6 changer.
Also in the Japanese tou add's he was the son of Sixshot.
Sixshot was repainted as Greatshot for the Victory serries.

I have to say that if a company like funimation picked up the rights to headmaster,victory and masterforce. Then dub them in english and put them on cartoon networks adult swim during the week days they could make a killing when they released them on dvd. Because right now the demand for old anime shows dubed into english is really high.

Most everyone has said what's up. But I want to clarify something.

Minerva was mistranslated into Minelba.

This character is from the Masterforce series and not Headmasters.

The Headmasters series was before and the transformers were all transformers. However in Masterforce, some humans got to run some TF transectors. They were the TF Juniors. Three on each side :BOT:

's were Go Shooter(rc Siren), Minerva/Minelba(rc Nightbeat), Carb(Hosehead). :CON:

's were ?(Horri-Bull), ?(Fangry), and ?(Squeezeplay).

Minerva had the conscience and Squeezeplay had Browning as a pet. She mad him see the errors of the :CON:

's way and everything turned out all right in the end.

After that, is TF: Victory.
